LINCOLN, Neb. -- A Lincoln man has been charged with animal cruelty after police said he put his roommate's cat in a washing machine.
Investigators said Richard Lynne Andersen, 22, put a video of the incident on his cell phone.
On the video, investigators said you can see the machine spinning and hear Andersen laughing that the cat was "in the spin cycle."
Andersen was charged with a misdemeanor.

Richard Andersen is so SICK enough to put his roommate's cat in the washer, put it on full spin and film it on his cell phone while he laughs and the cat screams.
See the bandage below Andersen's right eye? The cat managed to scratch him.
Disgusting but all too typical.
I’m waiting for the Viking Kitties to find this thread.
Another liberal zombie, couldn’t see a boundary if he fell off a cliff.
Anything wrong with being charged with a misdemeanor for cat cruelty?
To me, that kind of animal torture merits stronger punishment.
Whenever you see someone abusing or killing a cat, why does it evoke some horrifying message like "I'm gonna hurt or kill someone sooner or later"?
Is it because the sadistic thrill is his/her bill?
Because I believe it is that ethically wrong that society should take strong steps to stop it.
Humans are at the top of the animal hierarchy. With leadership comes responsibility.
We have created this artifical world of cities and towns, and various lesser animals - dogs, cats, and others - are forced to live in it with us. It is our responsibility to at least not mistreat them - that is the burden of being at the top.
Deal with it.
Exactly. Kosher rules of slaughter are but one example of such basic kindness being taught (and enforced) in our ancient religions.
Rather than go through all of the bullroar of court proceedings, etc just stick Anderson in the washing machine and let ‘er rip.
If he survives, lesson learned. If he doesn’t, who cares.
If it were my cat, there wouldn't be too many marks on him at all.
Many years ago a "Troubled youth" tortured and injured one of my cats.
As usual, he went on to do various things to people. He ended up in prison.
I still hate myself for not disposing of the little bastard. I owed it to Society, and let them down.
Sick.
My mother once put some clothes into the dryer and turned it on, it went bump, bump, bump. She opened the door to see what the noise was and out jumped some clothes with a kitten in them.
Last time that cat climbed in a warm dryer.
Only that it was too lenient. I should have made that clear in my initial post.
Good on the cat.
What a jerk this Andersen creep must be.
