WASHINGTON (AP) -- The Obama administration is considering several steps that would review the legality of the controversial Bowl Championship Series, the Justice Department said in a letter Friday to a senator who had asked for an antitrust review.
In the letter to Sen. Orrin Hatch, obtained by The Associated Press, Assistant Attorney General Ronald Weich wrote that the Justice Department is reviewing Hatch's request and other materials to determine whether to open an investigation into whether the BCS violates antitrust laws.

Obama will be seen as an even bigger fool for frittering his time away on something like this....unemployment in our area is 12%+ and stimulus money is going to go for unemployment benefits rather than putting people back to work....and college football is taking Obama's time?!!

Like our entire government doesn’t have anything more important to worry about than this! What a waste of time, energy and resources. THIS IS NOT THE GOVERNMENT’S BUSINESS.

Finally a problem that’s just crying out for the full attention of the most powerful man in the world. A burning issue of our time, just waiting for the gaze of the exalted eye of the Great Obammy to turn its way. Bingo, another yoke of misery lifted from humanity by the magnificent, affirmative-action, President.

He cannot fix anything else, so he will “fix” college football so that he can be a big hero and bring a playoff system. Yeah, Obama will save college football. The most watched sport in America. Millions of fans. Millions and millions. A dying sport that needs the Obama magic to fix it. Whoopeeeeeeeeeee!

Because they gave him a degree and cheered his speech, I am sure Obama will declare Notre Dame the National Champion for the next three years.

Nice to see they have their priorities straight.
Maybe Holder will move the BCS playoff to lower Manhattan.

Go for it BOZerO—make our year. The BCS is already screwed up but you can damage it even more however it’s only football.
May it be your passionate ideological passion until Nov. but remember there are only 59 votes in the senate now and need to find one more for an all out blitz to sack the BCS.

Is it just me? Or, should government concern itself with governing The Country, not messing around in private enterprise? Wait, let's see what dictionary.com has to say about Governance... gov⋅ern⋅ance ˈgʌv ər nənsShow Spelled Pronunciation [guhv-er-nuh ns] Show IPA noun 1. government; exercise of authority; control. 2. a method or system of government or management. Oh, why, they're right. They are government, so they can exercise authority and control. Wait! What does the constitution say about who should be monitoring college sports? That's going to take a longer search. I'll post again as soon as I find the clause or amendment that allows Congress to hold hearings on steroid use or the Justice Department to go after college sports. (Pop a beer, I'll be right back with that reference.)

More obama smoke screens.
He busys himself with trivia while America is out of work.
Speaking to "anti-trust", that about describes obama.
