“Press TV” is an Iranian government agit-prop operation.

http://www.presstv.ir/aboutus.aspx
“”Press TV takes revolutionary steps as the first Iranian international news network, broadcasting in English on a round-the-clock basis.

Our global Tehran-based headquarters is staffed with outstanding Iranian and foreign media professionals.

Press TV is extensively networked with bureaus located in the world’s most strategic cities.””

This thread seems to be an attempt to further the cause of the Iranian government by spreading disinformation.

“dragged Tel Aviv into a new spy scandal”

Iranian propaganda tv uses no different sly propaganda as reuters/ap/nyt/etc. You can’t tell the difference.

Jerusalem is the capital of Israel.

Can't be true.

Turkey would never allow a foreign government to set up a Sigint site on their territory.

Israel has had spies since King David. Good for them. My guess is every Country in the World has Israeli spies...wish the USA did also.

Israel having a secret base in Turkey to spy on Syria and Iran. This can easily be refuted, The US in Iraq, had to have permission from Turkey to even travel through Turkey, If the Us veered in Turkish airspace it was considere to be an act of defiance of the sovereignity to Turkey. Peridically Turkey sent troops across the border to deal with the Kurdis people in Northern Iraq.. Why would a muslim country allow a Jew to spy on another Moslem Country? ITV being owned by Iran helps to diminsh the credibility. The credibility is about as good as Obama stating that he never heard anything derogatory coming from Jeremiah Wright for 20 years.

Evil abounds in the Muslim lands. If this “story” is true, Israel needs to reavaluate its sordid relationship with its Caliphate partner.

I find this story hard to believe. No way would Turkey (who has luke-warm relations with Israel at best) allow this to happen on their soil.

Sounds like “Baghdad Bob” has a new gig.

Maybe Israel will do the world a favor and blow the hell out of them. We are a little busy at the moment in Afghanistan. Our forces are stretched to thin, pull our troops out of non-active war zones and either send them home or just let them get their job done. Our politicians are ridiculous and will hopefully get a wake-up call in 2010!

Ankara is nowhere near the Syria/Iran borders. Seems like there would be a better place in Turkey for eavesdropping.

1. That is a wing of the Iranian government that publishes that news outlet.

2. It would make more sense for a smaller operation within Iraq to spy on Iran

3. So what? Iran and Syria aren’t most passive regimes in the region.

Press TV is the intellectual equivalent of Saturday Night Live.

Please, in the future, find NEWS sources that have legitimacy.
