Well, lately (in the last few years or perhaps a decade), it seems to be more "normal", or getting to be that way.
But, then again, I think it's related to the decade of colder weather we're supposed to be having because of the Dalton Minimum-type of sunspot activity that we're having. This is supposed to lead to a decade or more of colder weather and shifting weather patterns for the world, and we've got that in Oklahoma, it seems... :-)

We're going through a "drought" which happens yearly when it doesn't rain for a least a couple weeks.....sometimes a month. This year it's blamed on El Niño. last year it was blamed on the Pittsburg Steelers winning the Super Bowl.
Ho hum....we all know we're in for six months of rain when it ends.
Time to hit the beach!
