Sen. John McCain, the man who brought Sarah Palin to national prominence, is being challenged for re-election in the GOP primary by former U.S. Rep. J.D. Hayworth. Palin recently announced that she plans to travel to Arizona to campaign on McCains behalf, but posters on her Facebook page are not at all happy with their Sarah:
Sarah, it was fun, but now you are done.
Sarah, your support of McCain shows bad judgment and brings into question the validity of your words. You can forget any political ambition if you support Amnesty which John McCain does. Conservatives dont forget.
You do know Senator McCain is a PROGRESSIVE? It is very disappointing that you are campaigning for him instead of J.D. Hayworth. McCain needs to go!
Sorry to hear that you are supporting McCain. Up to now, I thought you were part of the solution, but youve shown yourself to be part of the problem.
McCain!? Are you kidding me? Time to pick a side, Sarah Are you with the people, or against them?
I agree with those who advise you not to campaign for Senator McCain. He really doesnt represent the views of grassroot conservatives. He represents those in the GOP who have too often been willing to compromise on principle, or even worse, have failed to really understand basic conservative principles.
McCain used Palin like a cheap tool to keep from getting beat worse than Reagan did to Mondale. His staff mocked her and showed no respect. Now McCain is using her again like a cheap tool and this time she is willingly doing it under the guise of loyalty. As long as McCain is the face of the GOP, conservatives are irrelevant. Palin is playing politics and this goes against what she supposedly represents. She helps elect McCain, shes done.
I respect your loyalty to McCain, Sarah, but he really is using you. You need to do what you are obligated to do for him, and then run as far away from him as possible. Hes widely despised in the Conservative movement, and youll be hurting yourself badly with your support base if you do more than offer your token support or speak on his behalf.
McCain is not a commonsense candidate. If you support him your future as a conservative candidate is over.
Another day ~ another appeal to our girl from Wasilla: PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE do not follow through with your plan to campaign for John McCain. In the insightful words of Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman: Big mistake. Big. Huge. To do so will destroy your credibility, have your enemies carping: I told you so, and leave your fans devastated.
Thats just a small sampling of some 2,500 comments, and I have to admit to being surprised by the vehemence and near-unanimity of that sentiment. It makes me think that McCain might eventually have real trouble in the Arizona primary.
he liked Romeny because of the “CEO” status
Yes I have, as you label it, conveniently left out McCain’s five and one half years. What we get from that period of time is conflicting information. Some say he acted honorably during that time and others say he provided information to the NVC, and participated in propaganda above and beyond what he should have, and got special treatment for it.
Since I cannot know what actually took place, I refrain from addressing that period. I don’t heap praise on McCain, and I don’t criticize. I’ll leave that to others. And others have weighed in.
I consider the U.S. P.O.W. experience in Vietnam to be perhaps the pinnacle thing we can ask a fellow citizen to endure for his/her nation. If it was not a holy religious experience for them, it was probably as close to one as it could be, without it actually being one.
Some people think we should honor all P.O.W.s. I don’t believe that is our only obligation. We are obligated to hold deep respect for our honorable P.O.W.s. That much is undeniable. I also believe are owe it to honorable P.O.W.s to hold dishonorable P.O.W.s. to account.
All this being said I don’t honestly know which John is. A good case can be made for either scenario, and they have been. I’m not Solomon on this so I take no position.
I will admit to not being able to comprehend the driving force behind McCain’s seeming respect for Vietnam’s politicos. Even his former P.O.W. prison guards are treated like long lost friends. Considering how Hanoi Hilton P.O.W.s were, treated that astounds me.
What we do know from John’s own recollection and the recollection of others is that John liked to fight in grade school. He made his way to West Point, screwed around there and graduated fourth from the bottom of his class of just short of 900 people.
Despite this John was allowed to enter flight school. There he continued to screw around. Around this time John lost two aircraft. Some reports state be was screwing around each time. This raises serious questions about whether John’s immature screw-up mentality had been grown out of by the time his active duty was in full swing, another thing I don’t know for sure. None of us do.
So when John brings up his military service for me to salute, I see a big question mark. I don’t salute question marks.
John got out of the service and was elected to Congress. He then proceeded to accept favors from Charles Keating. John took over $13,000 in favors that be didn’t report for 5 to 7 years. He only made restitution once it became clear the gift would be discovered anyway.
Then John interceded inappropriately on behalf of Keating with regulators.
John scated on all that. and since those days be has been backing leftist policy whenever the mood moved him, which was fairly often.
When it comes to character, what we do know about the man is enough. He’s been far too willing to sell out his own political party at the drop of a hat, so there hasn’t been any character on display.
He’s made his mark. It’s time for him to retire.
I find it absolutely hilarious you’re pinging Romney supporters to trash Sarah for supporting a RINO.
Recall I defended Sanford to the hilt the day his confessional came out. I support Palin for President, I do not support her endorsement, it’s that simple.

Absolutely not.
Her quitting in Alaska shows weakness not strength regardless of her fans' spinning. If it turns out she quit to clear the road for a POTUS run it shows bald opportunism.
And, if she runs, she will have to answer this question often...
"Mrs. Palin, we know what it took to get you to quit as governor - what would it take to get you to quit as president?"
It is a deal killer for all but her most emotional fans.
What made abortion legal was the SCOTUS assuming authority over abortion and sexual practices like homo-sodomy. This is my problem with Sarah-ists. That always end up being State-ist compassionate conservatives that want to grow federal power thinking republicans will always be in power to run it.
I want it back like 1972 where states could outlaw all abortions. I am not for federal murder or hate crimes laws either.
Not if you read #306
It is all part of the grand conspiracy against Sarah. The MSM, the establishment, the left, the Romneys, the Pauls, the Hucks, the Rudies,... all conspiring against ‘our the one’Sarah. Why? Because she is a threat to evil. This conspiracy proves she is ‘the good one’ to take down Obama (the bad 'one').. Only one could organize such a grand opposition (evil libertarians and Mormons and liberals) against our RINO supporting Saviour... Satan himself!
So tell me, oh enlightened one, which of those names you listed, is more conservative than Sarah? Which of those names you listed has the most to gain with Sarah's standing diminished?
What *specific* policies of Sarah's do you have a problem with? Or are you another one of the style over substance people?
Policies? You are claiming she has policies? That is the problem. She is a cult-figure with a tiny group of people. And even they are getting discouraged now. She won't even run because she knows she has no chance of winning(plus she's terrified of non-puff interviews.)
Add another enemy to your list : J.D. Hayworth Palin, McCain and Why Vote for J.D. Hayworth
Who are these “Romney supporters”?. I have a long history of supporting Duncan Hunter, with hundreds of posts to back it up
I only switched to Fred Thompson(albeit reluctantly) when Hunter failed to take hold. When Thompson fizzled, there was nothing left but frauds ;-)
RE :”Who are these Romney supporters?.
You cant tell for sure. Everyone questioning Sarah secetly is working for someone else trying to unseat her as media queen. There is evil all over this site. To fight evil (anyone questioning Sarah) you must attack not defend.
Lately I am being accused of being a Paulist because of my liberty-anti-federal-statist views. But Paul doesn’t tingle my leg as a saviour either. He is no Reagan. Reagan was a (the greatest) visionary and a true leader even if we don’t agree with everything he did.
Who should freepers believe? A man who has millions of devoted listeners and is the leading conservative pundit in this country? Or you?
So why don't you go do some actual reading before tossing uneducated, ill-informed opinions out here, ok, hon? But, we all know you won't. Its so much easier to lob grenades and run. You are no different than the liberals who are trashing her.
You're such a lightweight. Perhaps you should change your handle to 'sickoflogic'.
Then why don’t you tell us, oh enlightened one, who is the closest person we have to Reagan? And don’t use the cop out there isn’t one yet. Who is the closest to Reagan on the national scene at this point in time?
Honestly...
Who gives a f-—?
Im sick of hearing about how his time in Vietnam made him a “hero” and somehow qualifies him to be as big a friggen douche bag as he can possibly be without the risk of suffering the consequences of his douchebaggery.
Its time for McCain to step down and go home to his wife and fat a$$ daughter.
NO MORE RINO’s!
“Reagan was a (the greatest) visionary and a true leader even if we dont agree with everything he did.”
Reagan was the best . He only made 2 promises to the people
1) Stop the spread of communism
2) Slash the income tax rate, to allow the people to prosper.
He kept both promises.
He made 2 mistakes that were noteworthy.
He signed a bill allowing for a small amnesty, no doubt believing the laws attached to it would be enforced.
He failed to dismantle the Dept. of Education, which today has a stranglehold on all local schools.
Aside from these two mistakes, he was a remarkable leader, and a remarkable man. He inspired an entire country to do their best, and to stay optimistic while pursuing excellence. A remarkable man!
Of course he did. She got them from listening to his show. That is how it works with Rush. I want something unique. No, I am not buying her book to read stuff she copied off rushlimbaugh.com. Is Rush talking about this McCain vs J.D. Hayworth election yet?
When I say visionary I mean Reagan was forward looking and did not read polls to tell him what to say or do. He know his policies would recover the economy, he knew the USSR would fall if pushed back. And he didn’t leave us in any on-going wars. Clinton got a peace dividend from him which was part of the deficit reduction he took credit for.
Ok, so now she’s a plagiarist and copies Rush’s stuff? This is rich! With each post you expose yourself as a liberal troll. BTW, the only people I’ve seen accusing Palin as a plagiarist on FR are either liberal trolls or Romney supporters.
