Castaing is most likely involved in other litigation that would make it improper for him to defend Falanagan’s kid.

You don’t know that a crime was even commited. There are allegations of course, but let’s see what a proper court has to say on the matter.

Gee whiz guys, we once moved into a new office suite and quickly discovered all the phones were bugged. The former occupant had been one of the Big Four Accounting Firms.

That was reported to the Postal Inspection Service and the FBI immediately.

Nothing at all was done yet in later litigation it was revealed that the firm had been bugging the phones of women in the company involved in some sort of plan to fight discrimination.

Lets throw them in jail . Don't bother with a trail because you say they are guilty . Right . Spare me the images of the high horse parade , there is plenty of that here and elsewhere .

Did I miss something?

When was the O’Keefe trial?

In fact, I don’t think he’s even been indicted yet.

If so, when did the Grand Jury meet?

Also, we have not yet heard O’Keefe’s side of the story.

Therefore, I have to give O’Keefe the benefit of a doubt, ESPECIALLY since the Senator who was allegedly wronged accepted a bribe to vote for Obamacare.

> What if there were no hypothetical questions?

A Sophist’s defense shows the lack of a credible response.

These guys would be heroes had they uncovered a scandle.

If it involves Landrieu, chances are fair to good that they may have part of their answer already ...

The scandal has been that ever since it was discovered she'd demanded and took a $300 million bribe for her vote no one at any of her offices are answering the phone lines that are published at her Senatorial website.

O'Keefe and his guys went to one of those offices, got hold of a phone, called out on it to a cell phone right there in their hands, and then dialed into it with a cellphone and made it ring.

This proved that there's nothing wrong with Moon Landrieu's corrupt daughter ~ she's still corrupt and she doesn't answer the phone.

She's also mean as hell and will have anyone arrested who shows up and calls one of those phones from the reception area of her office.

I'm afraid the ONLY CRIME here was for O'Keefe to make a phone call ~ and you just gotta' know that's not going to stand up in any court.

The FBI can probably be compelled to be witnesses for the defense, and I would pay good money to be there the day Agent Reyes testifies!!!!

Senator Landrieu was concerned that her offices had been bugged by FBI, on Holder’s orders? (and therefore on Obama’s orders?).

Somehow this concern was communicated to William J. Flanagan (US attorney for western Louisiana).

In turn, he accidentally or purposely reveal this information to his son, Robert.

Robert then conspired with O’Keefe and a couple of other conservative wise-guys to reveal the FBI wiretapping operation.

Their plan? A purposely clumsy attempt to pose as telephone repairmen and tamper with the phones. They knew that if the FBI had wiretapped the phones, the FBI would be there in a matter of minutes.

At which point O’Keefe would use his cell phone to make a video of the FBI agents showing up.

In other words, O’Keefe, etc may have been springing a trap.

Thanks for putting it together for me! This outline makes all kinds of sense to me! All these guys are educated, intelligent, rational and activists with good careers in focus - I just don’t believe they would have jumped into a potential federal prison sentence and life ruining felonies without a CYA.

And maybe there is evidence in the Senator's office that Obama was the second shooter in the JFK assassination plot.

Hey, Obama was too young for that, but that doesn't mean he hasn't since forged a fast friendship with the second shooter.

Give Bill Ayers a call ~ bet he knows!

If they were trying to plant a wireless device, why pretend to be phone repairmen. Why not just come in as constituents?

Ronbo, FBI legal taps are made through the main distribution hubs. I think the one for this area is in Texas, but it's been a lone time since I did work for phone companies and for all I know they can do it with a computer at Quantico now.

There would be nothing that these kids could have done to alert the FBI that they were messing with the phones and cause them to "come running" as was assumed.

But I don't dispute that her phones may likely be tapped. She is under suspicion for at least a half dozen investigations that I know of and most of these go as far as the State governors office and some stem from Katrina and her brother.

I don't think there is any thing here but a blatant attempt by media to discredit this young reporter/producer, and there may well be a connection to the democrat operatives in NO and the local party apparatus.. It could be that he was there only to record a event that he had been tipped about, and it was blown because the phones they, the kids were using were tapped.

Lastly, the FBI has offices in this building if I recall correctly. This is just one reason why they reacted to this fake telephone guy ruse so strongly. I don't think Okeefe is dumb enough to have planned this, but I could be wrong.

We will have to wait until formal charges are filed to get more of the picture. If charges are filed at all, or just run through as local misdemeanor false representation and entry. These folks in Louisiana play a version of hardball that would surprise most civilized people. They don't take prisoners and they ruin lives as a hobby and sport.

Probably to have unfettered access to the Senator’s office.

It would have been smarter to send flowers with a wireless
bug in the dirt ... it’s much easier, and if paid for in
cash at the florist, relatively untraceable as long as the
Feds aren’t using an ADF tracker to locate the receiver
tied to that frequency, but there’s ways around that too.

But the fact is, they WEREN’T there to fix the phones. And
they nailed ACORN pretty hard, didn’t they?

They were there on a good tip of some scandal in Landrieu’s
office, which is the most believable part of this story.

My original theory is probably wrong.

I've been hearing a new theory that I like better. O'Keefe etc were trying to prove that Landrieu's office does not answer phone calls from constituents.

either they were found with bugs ready to plant or not.......doesn’t matter why they would be doing it, they had to know it was illegal.

Geeze, some of you are so gullible!

My theory is that all the theories offered that have at their core illegal and/or thoughtless actions are baloney.

Like any other story, especially a “gotcha” story about conservatives, or one where cops/prosecutors have an opportunity to screw with someone (for any number of reasons) - the REAL story is not the one that’s offered first.

Most times the REAL story (the supportable one) comes out in a limited manner far down the road, and it bears little resemblence to the “hang ‘em high” mentality shown by some here and the state-controlled media.

Just watch!
