If they were trying to plant a wireless device, why pretend to be phone repairmen. Why not just come in as constituents?

Probably to have unfettered access to the Senator’s office.

It would have been smarter to send flowers with a wireless
bug in the dirt ... it’s much easier, and if paid for in
cash at the florist, relatively untraceable as long as the
Feds aren’t using an ADF tracker to locate the receiver
tied to that frequency, but there’s ways around that too.

But the fact is, they WEREN’T there to fix the phones. And
they nailed ACORN pretty hard, didn’t they?

They were there on a good tip of some scandal in Landrieu’s
office, which is the most believable part of this story.
