Offering his most extensive public comments about the election debacle in Massachusetts, President Obama acknowledged that he's taking some lumps but also trying to cast himself as a populist who will "never stop fighting" to bring health care reform and jobs to communities like this hard-hit manufacturing area outside Cleveland.
"Let me tell you, so long as I have the privilege of serving as your president, I'll never stop fighting for you," Obama said at the beginning of a town hall meeting with voters Friday. "I'll take my lumps, too. I'll never stop fighting to bring jobs back to Elyria. I'll never stop fighting for an economy where hard work is rewarded, where responsibility is honored, where accountability is upheld, where we're creating the jobs of tomorrow."

Why are politicians always fighting for this? Fighting against that? Fight, fight, fight. 99% of them couldn’t fight their way out of a wet paper bag. They really need to find a new expression.
..Before the whole World finds out we are being run by a complete asshole?
An ideologue.
Who is Barry “fighting”? He should be working with people to pass legislation that the public wants. He seems to have an adversarial attitude towards some imaginary foe. The only time he’s appeared content and confident are when he’s making sophmoric catty remarks about Bush and/or Republicans. He thrives on nitpicking and complaining. When given the most powerful job in the world he doesn’t know what to do with it. He should resign so he can go back to nitpicking and making funny remarks about the President.
No thanks, Zero. I prefer to fight for myself.
..Before the whole World finds out we are being run by a complete @sshole?
This is nearly as bizarre as when Al Gore tried to do the "Populist" schtick back in the fall of 2000.
Effete, elitist, Ivy League-educated liberals do not good Populists make.

Hey Ohio, how is that hopeandchange workin out for ya?
That money was super important...because part of it went to mom and dad, too. They needed it. As teens, we were eating them out of house and home. It helped.
In which case we are under no obligation to give any quarter.
And this from a girly-man whose never made a fist without his schwanz in the middle of it.
IF ANYONE IS INTERESSTED IN THE PORTIONS OF OBAMACARE HE IS BOUND AND DETERMINEND BECOME THE LAW, DOWNLOAD THE FOLLOWING LINK. IT TELLS THE TERRIFYING TALE:

Let me tell you,
Let me be clear,
Let me dissemble
For one more year.
That’s fine but we Americans “Have not yet begun to fight!” He and his liberal toadies haven’t seen nothin’ yet.
Nothing like a presidential temper tantrum.
Does Obama need a nap?
That's more like the true President Obama....
I agree, but . . .
He’s not as smart as Joker, is he?
I believe you give him too much credit. A smart guy would never have said that stuff about pickups. Or arugula. Or Joe Thee Plumber. Or that’s not the Rev. I knew. Or typical white person. Or Wasilly. Or lipstick on a pig. Or I like you well enough, Hillary.
He’s just mean, I tell you. And not half as smart as people give him creds.
That said, like you, I believe he’ll never pull a Bill Jeff. He can’t even fake populism.
Excellent point. I stand corrected.
