This is Romney’s Big Night, Too
IBD's Capital Hill ^ | 1/19/2010 | Ed Carson

Ex-Mass. Gov. Mitt Romney was just talking on Fox News about Washington Democrats' “attitude of arrogance” on Fox News. Speaking from Scott Brown's HQ, Romney was a key backer of the little-known state senator back when he was seen as a sacrificial lamb.

While some are already touting Brown as a 2012 presidential contender, Romney could be the big beneficiary. He’s helped deliver the 41st GOP vote, perhaps derailing Obamacare. Activists will remember that.

Romney was working round the clock in the background to get Scott Brown elected in MA. However, on this website, the Romney haters will never give credit where credit is due, because their hatred trumps everything. As irrational as the DU’ers; their attitudes are the same.

Good job, Mitt Romney. You were instrumental in bringing home the one vote needed to stop Obamacare. If you needed to do any penance for your part in Romneycare in MA, the slate is now wiped clean. After you left office in MA, the Dems took your healthcare program in MA and twisted it into something unrecognizable, and ten times more expensive. Moral of the story. You can’t give an inch to the Dems because they will take it and run with it. You ran a totally Dem state that wanted a healthcare plan and forced your hand to pass one. So you shaped it as best you could into a free market system rather than a public option run by the State. You left, the Dems took it over and ruined it.

Now the residents of MA have learned their lesson. Be careful what you ask for. Now the last thing they want to see is healthcare taken over by the Federal gov’t. The people have learned by personal experience the perils of mandatory healthcare. Hence tonite’s vote for and win by Brown. Lesson was learned the hard way by the citizens of MA.

Romney is taking credit to bolster his own political future.

Which he does not have, fortunately.

I guess I am one of the “disgruntled freepers” huh Saundra?

You accused me of hate in that context, and could never find one post where I hated Mormons OR Romney.

I hate false religions, and I hate leftist liberal policies like from Romney, but don't hate Mormons or Romney.

Neither do the freepers you accuse of hate.

The Tea Party Express is comprised of the big high-roller players in the GOP

LOL, yea that was said about Free Repblic also, and is just as true for the TPX as it is for FR.

If you believe one, you have to belive the other.

Sorry you have boutght into those lies.

I have seen tens of thousands of tea party people at over 100 rallies that TPX were at.

The hundreds of thousands of "people like you" have no problem knowing that the TPX is driven by them, not the GOP.

BTW, the TPX spent over 300,000 bucks in Mass reaching "people like you", so yea there were a lot of them there.

Sorry, you are off base by miles with your uninformed post.

Romney was working to get some gas money for Scott Brown's pick up long before Romney's FR detractors here had ever heard of Scott Brown.

Please join hosts Rep. Jay Barrows, Rep. Betty Poirier, Rep,. Richard Ross, Tom Diplacido Jr, Matthew Littlefield and Gerry Lorusso, for a fundraising reception with

GOVERNOR MITT ROMNEY

on behalf of Scott Brown for U.S. Senate.

Friday October 30, 2009
Lake Pearl Luciano's, 299 Creek St, Wrentham

6:30pm Leadership Reception - $1000 Patron, $500 Host
7:00pm General Reception - $75 Friend, $125 Couple, $50 Senior ______________________________________________________

In Romney's Fox interview tonight, Romney gave full credit to Brown and no attention to himself. He specifically stated that his own Gubernatorial victory paled in significance to Brown's Senatorial triumph.

Wait, Romney has appeared out of nowhere, and is now addressing the crowd at the Brown victory celebration. This should be interesting.

Sean Hannity agrees with me about Mitt Romney, not to mention many other well known, well liked, and well trusted conservatives

Hannity is a moderate, and strong Conservatives do NOT support Romney. Period.

Romney lived this one vicariously through Brown, but interestingly enough the two big politicians I saw the most involved with Brown were Romney & Giuliani...is this the Republican model for the Northeast now?? ...magritte
