This is Romney’s Big Night, Too
IBD's Capital Hill ^ | 1/19/2010 | Ed Carson

Ex-Mass. Gov. Mitt Romney was just talking on Fox News about Washington Democrats' “attitude of arrogance” on Fox News. Speaking from Scott Brown's HQ, Romney was a key backer of the little-known state senator back when he was seen as a sacrificial lamb.

While some are already touting Brown as a 2012 presidential contender, Romney could be the big beneficiary. He’s helped deliver the 41st GOP vote, perhaps derailing Obamacare. Activists will remember that.

Sorry, but Myth is NOT a conservative.

From his govt/obama health care he imposed on MA that has now failed and has only a 25% support to his flipping & flopping on his support of abortion and homosexual marriage.

NO MORE RINOs like Myth!

It's about his running for president in 2012, which he started doing the day he dropped out of the 2008 race. because he was WAY behind in the vote count!

Calling Romney a "conservative" is like calling
an ant a "scholar", or an attacking shark a "friend".

It is fascinating watching the DU and DNC push Romney here.

No way. In fact, I will give credit for Romney passing health care legislation and the people of Massachusetts knows how much of a nightmare it is and made sure they voted AGAINST health care. I hope Romney goes the way of Tom Ridge. Please just go away.

The RomneyBOT's immediately excuse Romney for all wrongdoings.
They cant let anything get in the way of Romney/Obama's dictatorships.

It is soooo hard to believe that Romney "milked" the
the night of Sen. Brown's Election, even as his RomneyBOTs
continued their attacks on Sen. Brown.

Schemer Romney once again.

But the real tea party is comprised of people like me. We are not wealthy; we are not well connected; we are really angry; and we are serious as heart attacks. There are a lot of people like me in Massachusetts apparently.

The Tea Party Express, either the organized group, or just the people that show up at the rallies are also not primarily focused on the social issues of the GOP. I think that is something we really, really have to understand.

The people that I have met are more moderate, but they extremely fiscally conservative. That is what is moving this "Party".

I am not, by any means, saying that the social conservatives do not matter, or that they are not a large part of the activities, but the main focus is the economy.

I am not a Romney supporter, I am a Palin supporter. But I think if we try and read too much into yesterdays victory, it is at our own peril.

While some are already touting Brown as a 2012 presidential contender....

NO!

As much as I appreciate that he will stand in the way of the dims getting their way, and he seems like a nice guy - we CANNOT put him up as a presidential candidate in 2012. He does not have enough experience! We complain about ZERO being in over his head and now there's talk of this? I don't think so.

This is just stupid talk.

Not the Democrats, not the Republican it is the People’s party!

So if there is a real house cleaning going on maybe one should consider

Mark 2: 22
22 And no man putteth new wine into old bottles: else the new wine doth burst the bottles, and the wine is spilled, and the bottles will be marred: but new wine must be put into new bottles.

I am being stalked by these anti’s from the religion forum this is the News forum!

These remarks are totally unrelated to my comment on Scott Browns Victory speech which he also pointed out...

___

Most of all, I will remember that while the honor is mine, this Senate seat belongs to no one person and no political party - and as I have said before, and you said loud and clear today, it is the people’s seat.

I said at the very beginning, when I sat down at the dinner table with my family, that win or lose we would run a race which would make us all proud. I kept my word and we ran a clean, issues oriented, upbeat campaign - and I wouldn’t trade that for anything.

When I first started running, I asked for a lot of help, because I knew it was going to be me against the machine. I was wrong, it was all of us against the machine. And after tonight we have shown everyone that - now - you are the machine.

We had the machine scared and scrambling, and for them it is just the beginning of an election year filled with surprises. They will be challenged again and again across this country. When there’s trouble in Massachusetts, there’s trouble everywhere - and now they know it.

I go to Washington as the representative of no faction or interest, answering only to my conscience and to the people. I’ve got a lot to learn in the Senate, but I know who I am and I know who I serve.
