WASHINGTON The US Supreme Court ordered Tuesday a lower court to reconsider its decision not to execute ex-Black Panther Mumia Abu-Jamal for murdering a Philadelphia police officer in 1981.
"The judgment is vacated, and the case is remanded to the United States Court of Appeals," the highest court in the United States said in its ruling.
The death penalty sentence of Black Panther-turned human rights campaigner Abu-Jamal, 55, was overturned in March 2008, after his conviction for the murder of police officer Daniel Faulkner.

If they need someone to pull the lever....
Officer Faulkner is still dead, and this piece of excrement is still alive. That is what our court system has wrought.

The “human rights campaigner” didn’t care much about the human rights of the cop that he killed.
If I was in Philly, I’d say it’s time to celebrate with a cheesesteak from Geno’s.
“But the US Supreme Court order a new court review of the case following an appeal by prosecutors...”
...I’m so glad the prosecutors kept fighting...so often they seem to roll over and let it go...especially on an old case.
Has he? If somebody knows anything different, please correct me.
Its like turkeys advocating changing the tradition to Thanksgiving hams.
Is there any information on how the individual justices voted?

No, he’s been very careful not to say that. Maybe he doesn’t want perjury added to murder in his charges...
Here we go again. Sentencing, Appeals, and more lawyers defending the murderer.
And the folks who support Mumia: strange as well. For instance, the Bruderhof people. If they just wanted to say, "As Anabaptist pacifists, we do not believe in the Dealth Penalty and we think Mumia, a convicted murderer, should get life imprisonment" -- I'm OK with that. I undersatand and respect religious pacifists.
But the Bruderhof people are --- as far as I can tell --- in absolute solidarity with him, including his underlying insistence that a black man cannot get a fair trial in AmeriKKKa.
It's just crazy.
Great t-shirt.
I was thinking of the cows on the Chick-fil-A commercials.
I wish we would bring back Old Sparky and require first time offenders to watch the videotaped executions. Might be a deterrent.
