That makes as much sense as Marth Coakley claiming that Curt Schilling is a Yankee fan.

I've watched over the months as "The Huck's" critics have gone from accusing him of being a stalking horse for Mit to now being the leader of opposition to Mit.

Can't have it both way.

"The Huck" is not running for President.

DO NOT TRUST any GOP candidate who disses Sarah Palin

DISloyalty to other GOP party members and conservatives is not a trait we need to elect

Can you see the political brick being hurled through the window of your political career?

BVP is a certifiable lunatic anyway. Nobody with any intelligence takes him seriously.

For most everybody Alaska is far away and so remote as to be almost non-existent. Few have ever had to deal with the place, particularly the Aleutian Islands portion.

So, all excuses for the average person aside, I did deal with a problem involving mail delivery on an Aleutian Island that'd previously been administered by the Department of Navy. With the removal of the local Navy commander, we had to figure out some other way for someone there to be in charge of the mail without actually being a postal employee.

Yessirree the place is remote and people are loathe to send you there to get an understanding of local conditions. BTW, we figured out the solution and never heard another thing about it.

Wonder if the SNL writer who came up with the Tina Faye routine knows what an ULU is and how it is used to "deal with problems" and cut up meat!

Bet doesn't.

Yet!

“It’s not rocket science,” Vander Plaats said, suggesting that tax incentives are the keys to bringing new business opportunities to the state.

“I can’t see Russia from here like Gov. Palin, but I can see South Dakota and South Dakota has figured it out - zero percent sells.”

South Dakota’s State/Local Tax Burden Among Nation’s Lowest

From 1977 to the present, South Dakota’s tax burden ranking has dropped 25 places from 20th, primarily because the state has maintained a zero rate on individual and corporate income.

He’s talking tax rates, and the article should have been more clear about that

I think he meant that Gov. Palin, when governor of Alaska, could see Vladivostok across the Berring Straight if she went West far enough, while in Alaska. But instead he made an ass of himself.

Of course you can, though not necessarily at the same time. Time passes, things change. But pro-Mitt, anti-Mitt is irrelevant. Anyone who thinks this is a good idea for a family photo shouldn't be allowed anywhere near the levers of power:

Yup. He made an incorrect, idiotic insult to distinguish himself from Palin.

He was looking for a clever line and probably shouldn’t have found it where he did, but his message is pretty straightforward: don’t spend what you don’t have. Freepers need to cut him some slack, he wasn’t (intentionally) blaspheming the Divine Sarah.

In the interest of fairness, I believe her actual quote was something to the effect of They're our next door neighbors and you can actually see Russia from land here in Alaska

The SNL spoof was "I can see Russia from my house."

Vander Plaats' statement ""I can't see Russia from here like Gov. Palin," is accurate.

I am a fan of Palin's BTW and have an autographed copy of "Going Rogue"

:^)

Evidently he believes that if Tina Fey says something on SNL, it must have come out of Sarah Palin's mouth.
