EDITORIAL: Special protection for Black Panthers--The Justice Dept is institutionalizing discrim..
The Washington Times ^ | January 15, 2010 | Editorial

Racial cowardice, thy name is Eric Holder. For those who don't remember, Attorney General H. Holder Jr. had the gall last February to claim that Americans form "a nation of cowards" with regard to racial issues. Saying that this nation must examine its "racial soul" and that "we, average Americans, simply do not talk enough with each other about race," Mr. Holder explicitly vowed to "have frank conversations about the racial matters that continue to divide us." In that same context, he also vowed repeatedly last year to "restore" the Justice Department's Civil Rights Division to a supposedly renewed focus on protecting minority rights.

Yet Mr. Holder was far from explicit about exactly what he meant. Judging from the Civil Rights Division's actions - and now from a highly revealing speech by a newly exiled member of the division - it appears that the civil rights of blacks and Latinos will be protected but those of whites and Asians are treated as irrelevant. Far from having a "frank conversation" about that highly problematic change in policy, Mr. Holder's Justice Department instead is hiding the change behind bureaucratic smokescreens, spurious claims of legal "privileges" and outright gag orders.

Mr. Holder knows that his sea change in law enforcement would be highly unpopular if discussed openly - and would be subject to serious legal challenge if openly tested in a court of law. Hence his fear, his cowardice, on the issue.

The smoking gun is the department's refusal to fully sanction members of the New Black Panther Party who were charged with voter intimidation for brandishing a nightstick and using threatening racial language at a polling place during the 2008 presidential election. In this case, Mr. Holder appeared to be undermining equal justice under the law...

I believe it is Holder’s and Obama’s desire to bring our people down to the level of those living in the ghettos of Chicago, Los Angeles and Detroit. Those people are dependant on welfare and the government. That’s exactly where they want the white race. If they keep going the way they are, they will get racism on a level that they never dreamed of. I really feel for the good black people because they will feel racism more than others.

Ditto, what you posted. The behavior by those black panther thugs is UNACCEPTABLE for anyone, regardless of “race”. That should go triple for ALL laws! Until we can get to that reality, we will have race issues in this country. Wrong is wrong, illegal is illegal, etc.

Has ANY reporter or ANYONE asked Obama if he defends Holder’s actions? It seems like it would be a squirm moment.

The campaign & election of NObama has set race relations back about 150 years, IMO.

Some words I haven’t used in 30 + years now roll off my lips with great frequency.
You guess which ones!

It is hard to believe that a no one like Obama could be elected and then cause such turmoil in such a short amount of time in our country.

It has to be stopped and a good number of Dems are going to have to wake up and help the Repubs stop him, if they don’t it could get very ugly.

It seems he’s already demonstrated he won’t expose himself to potential squirm moments or other truths.

Well if the DoJ won't prosecute them where does it leave the issue?

The people will handle it through Committees of Safety. And the DoJ doesn't want to interfere with them either. If they do, it will be very , very bad for the US Gov.

Holder seems to be sort of dumb. Either he wants a civilian/BP confrontation for his own sordid ends to declare martial law, or he doesn't understand that the people will win the issue in the streets and discredit the DoJ horribly, diminishing any respect the people have for federal power.

Holder is dumber than dirt, He thinks that revolutuionary crap will work against Ameians because he believes Americans are "cowards," as Holder previously announced to the public. Holder hates white America. Soon he will know that White America is not cowardly. We will never knuckle under to thugs of any color or ideological pursuasion.

The BPs better not make the mistake of appearing in uniform carrying truncheons to be poll watchers ever again.
