A former chief United Nations weapons inspector is accused of contacting what he thought was a 15-year-old girl in an Internet chat room, engaging in a sexual conversation and showing himself masturbating on a Web camera. Scott Ritter of Delmar, N.Y., who served as chief U.N. weapons inspector in Iraq from 1991-98 and who was an outspoken critic of the second Bush administration in the run-up to the war in Iraq, is accused of contacting what turned out to be a Barrett Township police officer posing undercover as a teen girl.

Thanks. Wow that was detailed and almost a decade old. Saddam’s now dead son was the head of the security service. They probably new Ritter was a pervert and had pictures and movies.
Probably told him they would pay him $100,000 a year in an offshore account if he sang the praises of Saddam and bashed Bush while being for peace. Or they would release the movie of him ......

That’s what I was thinking. He has obviously tried to contact them in person as well as exposing himself via his web cam “presentations”.
Saw this in an article: “According to published interviews, Ritter has twin daughters who are about 16. He met his second wife, Marina, a translator, while assigned as a counterintelligence officer in the former Soviet Union. They moved to upstate New York about 10 years ago.”
Somehow that information about having sixteen year old twins makes the situation even worse for a number of reasons.
I had just read that info about the 16 yr. old twin daughters in an article.

Googling the incident revealed an interesting phenomenon, however.
Save one CNN report (using the less pejorative "accused"), all of the remaining reports were on blogs and the likes of WND. So far as the MSM was concerned, it never happened.

The picture was created by merging two different photographs (both available through the Corbis archives) taken at two completely different times and places...
Ken Light, the photographer who snapped the original picture of John Kerry used in the above composite, Corbis, the rightsholder to both the original images, and the Associated Press, whose name was invoked in the caption to the spoofed image, have all announced their intentions to identify the perpetrator who created the composite with an eye towards pursuing copyright or trademark infringement claims....
