He’s the one leading the fight against the government taking over health care.

That was the time to come out and say ‘I was lost. I got caught lying cheating and stealing. I get it. Then they lost with John McCain. When they come out now so close to an election, why should I as a voter believe them?

She didn’t lie. If you look closely at what she said, it’s perfectly honorable. I agree that if McCain were still a power in the party, calling the shots, or if he were about to run again, then she would have some obligation to head off a disaster, whether by speaking out or by taking quiet action behind the scenes.
But at the moment McCain is no longer really relevant, except as a piece of history. Frankly I would think less well of her if she attacked the man who tapped her for his VP slot, although I don’t hesitate to speak out about Juan myself.
I think Glenn Beck was getting sidetracked on a non-issue, and she handled it well.
If Palin had made a broader statement about how the GOP had lost their way and needed (party) reform it would have shown principle. But by avoiding talking about republicans and focusing all or most of her comments on democrats it looks like she is just playing up to the base cult who want to hear: "Democrats are evil, don't think about Republicans"
I agree that is was honorable...that is not the issue. She is acting just like other politicians - that is the problem.
I have great respect for her and do not want her to become just another politician but someone who tells the truth whenever asked. She has shown that she will limit her negative statements for political purposes and that is what I hate! Tell the truth - it is actually easy to do.
Unfortunately you are the onll one to believe that.

The people are responsible for holding their pols' feet to the fire. Just recently the people have finally been rising up...they haven't done so with such tenaciousness in decades...why not?
The people will change things by PAYING ATTENTION and ACTING. They will only do so when things get really bad like at the present time. I'm sorry...I don't think Repub pols should get ALL the blame.
As I said, I like Hunter, but I voted for Mitt instead of Hunter in the Michigan primary because Romney wasn’t McCain and Hunter had run in a number of primaries before and never got more than 2% of the vote in any primary. I don’t even recall Hunter campaigning in Michigan.
I see no reason why he would garner more votes in 2012. He will have the same problems in 2012: limited funds, lack of recognition, etc. When is the last time (other than Ford) when someone moved from the House to the Presidency?

Beck’s attack isn’t just on McCain, its the whole Republican party. Every day he looks more and more like a shill for the Rats.
There are lots and lots of conservative Democrats.
It's just that they hate what the Republicans have become more.
Ask yourself this: How did Reagan win Massachusetts twice?
If you understand that, then you understand why the GOP is dying. If you don't, then you're probably mystified by national politics.

She is right when she said it’s really in the hands of the people. Now just tell me when and how often these stupid people hold their politicians to the fire? Rarely is the answer - why, because of political corruption (Remember the winners get to lay out the next voting district, franking privileges, etc...).
Yes, I blame the Republicans with enthusiasm! They alone are responsible for their demise and I might say their stupidity! If they ever regain either House of Congress I will be amazed (Maybe they just aren’t up to the task).
I have more faith in a new Tea Party taking over control of either house of Congress than I have in a Republican takeover. Hell, maybe even the Presidency!
Actually, I’m not sure that even if the Republicans won control that they would be any different than the Democrats - wow, lets all go out and vote! Yeah!
I think you are on the right track but not there yet...Republicans are responsible at the minimum for democrats getting power... but that R loss is finally leading to a backlash against democrats(took too long) ...but Republicans show no signs of leadership capability even now, just able to take advantage of the current backlash.
a 2 year senator, unqualified as humanly possible is sitting in the WH now.
Well, it could be, if your goal is to create divisive commotion and resentment within the party and waste the emerging opportunity to take back many seats from the 'rats this Fall. Many of us, otoh, have the goal of beating 'rats. Maybe you will join us some time soon.
