Well, I heard Rush talking about it today and he said it is a political aide tactic that they use to distract reporters from asking tough questions to candidates. Of course the aide, knocked down the reporter, then helped him up and claims it was accidential. Then you see the end of the tape and sees that it was infact deliberate. Yes it is worse.

I'd say the odds are good enough that most candidates for most of the top level federal and state jobs in this country should be protected by guards.
