President Obama will address the House Republican Conference later this month during their retreat in Baltimore, being held Jan. 28th to 30th.
Obama was invited by the elected GOP Leadership to speak a few weeks ago and will take them up on their offer. ...
Despite that gracious tone, House Minority Whip Eric Cantor wrote this morning in a statement:
Though its welcome news that President Obama will speak with House Republicans later this month, it is important to point out that true bipartisanship requires working together on common-sense solutions and a mainstream agenda to help Americans facing difficult challenges. It is important to ask whether the President plans to meet WITH Republicans, or speak TO them. In 2009, on the rare occasion when we were invited to the White House, the President paid Republican proposals lip service while the cameras were on, only to completely rebuff those ideas afterward. The problems faced by our country have grown too large for the President to respond to Republican and Independent views and solutions with indifference, like in 2009. I hope this is a sign that a new year will bring change.

RHINOS!!!
Lord, I hope they ain’t gonna be kissing him too...
Gee, what a great visual that will make - zero lecturing the dumb-ass pubs.
I get it and have for several years now. It wasn’t until I was forced into a civil dispute that ended up in court. My greatest revelation was the judicial system was not about right and wrong, it is about which side promises to pay the “system” the most for a positive outcome for their case. Even before the case was decided, the Judge asked each side what their fees were for the case. It blew by me at first but I figured it out in discovery and presentaion of the case.
DC is just the same deal, somewhat. My best analogy is they are both the same. It is just a good ole boyz system for attorneys who couldn’t figure out a way to fleece you in a court room. Ironically enough, when I was on a project for the rail lines in DC, I learned the two party offices were .22 miles walking distance from each other but at one time were in two different wings of the same building. Nuff said.
You can figure out why Zero’s accepted the offer. Narcissism to the max, plus, he can always blame the next debacle on the republicans. He’ll claim they insisted he do whatever that ended up costing billions and enriching Wall St. Bankers, Insurance execs, etc..
On another sleazy note, Martha Coakley was in DC yesterday raising money at a luncheon where health insurance co. execs were in attendance, lobbyists by the carload, and assorted Obamaites.
Howie Carr (WRKO), had this news on his radio show yesterday, just before interviewing Scott Brown. Scott Brown will be on Howie’s show every day until the election...Jan. 19.
No it's not! To work in a “bipartisan” way means to give in to socialism.
It looks good politically. I’m down with it. We’re being “open” and “listening to his ideas.”
Howie’s having Brown on every day? That’s great!
Tar and feather.
It’s European...he’ll understand.
Unless they are arranging to expose this clown through tricks [I would rather not mention specifics in public], this will make him look good. He normally hurts himself from his own speeches lately, but the idea that republicans are curious about what he has to say ought to help prop him up.
bi-partisan = RINO
“Its like the British Parliament in the late 1930s asking Hitler to address the House of Commons and the House of Lords. Totally ridiculous.”
Folks, we have a WINNER !!
The republicans continue to get it wrong. They continue to have their priorities totally skewed.
They continue to be followers and not leaders.
In reality....
GOP Spokeswimp: “Mr. President, thank you for taking time from your busy schedule to come speak with us, Mr. President.
We know well how odious this must be for you, sir, so please answer only those questions you feel you must. And don’t forget sir, at the end of our little chat, Sen. Graham has some lovely parting gifts for you;a gold embossed paper shredder for any personal documents that might pop up, and a gold boob belt for your lovely scowling wife. “
This was Michael Steele’s idea, right?
Eric Cantor is a stinking RINO like McCain and Graham-nesty.
0bama shouldn’t be invited to this event and they shouldn’t welcome him. He is destroying the economy and he needs to be stopped.
Advice to the GOP: Stick to conservative principles, then you don’t need to be bipartisan. If it isn’t conservative, then vote against it. Do what is good for your constituents needs. And, serve with integrity and honor. Simple.
Alert: Teachable Moment Ahead
