Actually, the "clean and articulate" compliment came from the unbridled mouth of Joe Biden, the same clown we now call Vice President.
The "light-skinned and no negro dialect" dilly came from Harry Reid, Majority Leader of the US Senate, who recently had the audacity to warn that Republicans opposed to ObamaCare were of the same ilk as those scoundrels who opposed ending slavery back in the days when Republican President Abe Lincoln was raising hell.
It also happens to be the same Harry Reid who declared that those who favored English as America's official language were racist.
Reid's latest display of brain-dead hypocrisy is reported, in part, at Yahoo.com:
"WASHINGTON - The top Democrat in the U.S. Senate apologized on Saturday for comments he made about Barack Obama's race during the 2008 presidential bid and are quoted in a yet-to-be-released book about the campaign.
"Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid of Nevada described in private then-Sen. Barack Obama as "light skinned" and "with no Negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one." Obama is the nation's first African-American president.
"I deeply regret using such a poor choice of words. I sincerely apologize for offending any and all Americans, especially African-Americans for my improper comments," Reid said in a statement released after the excerpts were first reported on the Web site of The Atlantic."
Reid, now an impassioned champion of amnesty for 20 million illegal aliens in America, once called illegal aliens "free loaders and scam artists" which he proposed to deal with in his Immigration Stabilization Act in the United States Senate in 1993.
That proposed legislation was introduced to the floor of the US Senate with the following press release, in part, issued by Reid's office on August 5, 1993.
"In response to increased terrorism and abuse of social programs by aliens, (I) today introduced the first and only comprehensive immigration reform bill in Congress. Currently, an alien living illegally in the United States often pays no taxes but receives unemployment, welfare, free medical care, and other federal benefits. Recent terrorist acts, including the World Trade Center bombing, have underscored the need to keep violent criminals out of the country."

The inclusion of Louisiana in the posting is indicative of the authors ignorance. The know not of what they speak. Our public schools and teaching staffs are considerably more integrated than those in most major northern cities. In Louisiana, we do not have to concern ourselves about light skinned people that speak without the Negro dialect. There are none.
