Per FNC -Norad launched 2 fighter jets- Tyndall AFB, unruly passenger Muhammad Abu Tahir (#145)

Two fighter jets were launched by NORAD from Tyndall AFB in FL due to an issue with an unruly passenger on an Air Tran flight from Atlanta to San Francisco.

Hopefully, more follows soon.

Plane has landed at Colorado Springs airport.

A young man was taken into custody after the flight was diverted.

The man was thought to be intoxicated and locked himself in the bathroom.

The crew radioed the situation, and the fighters were launched.

Everyone's safe on the flight .. the passenger is in custody.

“Once airborne there are limited options. Talking to the flight attendants and moving seats is basically all you can do. A divert takes time and would be a major emergency. On the flight I diverted for security issues we had an F-16 on our tail, ready to shoot us down if we didn’t immediately land.”

It is perfectly acceptable to shoot down an American passenger aircraft and kill 200-300 people in the process, but...

It is not permissible to inconvenience foreign killers, foreign nationals, by giving them special security attention before boarding, in our own country.

The toilets apparently have a vacuum cleaning system. I just read about some poor woman who was vacuum-sealed to the toilet seat for several hours of an international flight. They couldn’t release the seal until the plane landed. Think about that one!

Have Abu sealed to the potty immediately.

Call me crazy but I am finding it a little more disturbing that they are calling out the calvary with every other incident. At least with just some crazed Jihadists, we have a chance of the passengers intervening and it turning out OK.

NORAD scrambles again over unruly passenger

43 Highschoolers on board.

Man was drunk, locked himself in the bathroom, then starts threatening stewardess, pushing finger in her face.

Flight attendants asked some passengers to help if needed, handed out plastic cuffs to a few if they needed help.

Passengers didn't think it was a terrorist threat. Never knew there were fighter jets escorting them.

............The FBI later identified the man as Muhammad Abu Tahir, 46, of Virginia. He was to be detained on a federal hold over the weekend in the El Paso County Jail.

Federal charges for interference with a flight crew are expected to be filed on Monday in Denver federal court. If convicted, Tahir could face up to 20 years in federal prison, and up to a $250,000 fine.................

I think, we are looking at a nationwide simultaneous attack.

Homicide bombers, in churches, malls and airport security lines, pre - screening.

These guys all get into position and one man sends a mass text message and detonates them all, massive deaths.
