Irish authorities say a Slovak man unwittingly carried hidden explosives on board a weekend flight to Dublin after a Slovakian airport-security test went awry. The 49-year-old electrician was arrested Tuesday, but released without charge after Slovak security officials alerted their Dublin counterparts to the screw-up.

“My bad.”
Give them the top TSA job at Detroit. They’re naturals.
The system worked...............
Benny Hill used to say that the chances of there being a bomb on a plane were a million to one. And the chances that there are TWO bombs on a plane are a million TIMES a million to one.
So do what he does, and always being a bomb along... < /sarc >
If Slovak security runs field tests with LIVE explosives, much less loses track of the stuff and the “mule” until they both get to a foreign destination, it’s gone clear past Bad.
In fact, it’s almost approaching another TSA moment.
The point that something can be added to a patsy’s luggage at the airport means that we could face false leads on future attacks.
After 9/11 when we could no longer lock out luggage, there were reports of items being stolen somewhere in transit.
Now we know where the Newark Liberty screener has been transferred.
“Officials had surreptitiously placed different bomb components in the check-in luggage of nine passengers to see if security screeners would spot the contraband.”
Catch the ball Johnny, oooppps, oooppps, ooopps....

LOL!!!...God rest his soul..................
Or it’s his Irish cousin..............
Does that mean without the passenger's knowledge?
If the passenger knew about it why didn't he let somebody know that he still had the test stuff in his bag before leaving the security area?
If he didn't know about it...how the Freak is that legal?
We're all going to stop flying soon if the idiots "in charge" don't step up.
I guess this is like the old coffee commercial. "We've secretly switched Bob's regular coffee with C4. Let's see if he notices the difference". What's next, planting cocaine in the luggage?
Yes, the authorities placed the stuff in the luggage as a test of the system...............I guess in Janet Incompetano’s world, the system worked............
I wonder if CCW Airlines would “take off”?
You’re only allowed on if you’re armed and have been prescreened.
What? They put his nationality in the lede? I thought it was crucial to avoid the ethnicity/nationality of the suspect when...oh...wait...THIS guy was Slovak...
This crap after the CHARLEY FOXTROT we’ve had out of “our” gummint since Christmas really tears it for me.
I don’t have to fly much but local, so TSA et al to this point has been only an occasional annoyance, but I’ve got a neighbor who’s totally switched to a little aircharter service for all of his trips and I’m going to do the same. Especially if I’ve got to worry about my family being safe and/or not harassed at every step.
Those pompous little amateur night rent-a-doorshaker creeps can kiss my butt.
People should be issued guns before they board...........
