The Danish artist whose controversial cartoon of the Prophet Muhammad enraged Muslims says police cannot protect him from attackers who act spontaneously.
Kurt Westergaard tells The Associated Press he believes he is being targeted by Muslim extremists because he stands by his cartoon and insists he has "not done anything wrong."
The 74-year-old artist says he was shocked by Friday's attack during which a Somali man broke into his home armed with an ax....
Police shot the Somali man in the hand and knee, and he was later charged with attempted murder.
The man cannot be identified due to a Danish court ban.

The POLICE are denying him protection claiming it was the work of a lone nut. He says he’s been targeted by a block of extremists.

The Left was much more sympathetic to Salman Rushdie than they have been to any of the Danish cartoonists.
That ‘lone madman’s’ faith and culture was founded by a ‘lone madman.’
If so, I guess the man’s address is common knowledge to all Somalis then.

What a misleading headline! The AP has apparently made its bed with muslims extremists and islamophile entitees who support them.
The yahoo site has a link to a second article about the same incident. That second article mentions that this is (at least) the THIRD attack against the cartoonist by jihadists. This courageous man needs our prayers for his protection!

Terror Suspect Targeted Hillary Clinton

COPENHAGEN — A man charged with attempting to kill a Danish cartoonist over his Muslim prophet Mohammed caricatures was also involved in an alleged plot against US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, a Danish newspaper reported Sunday.
But one Danish diplomat played down the report.
The online edition of Politiken newspaper said that the 28-year-old man charged with having tried to kill cartoonist Kurt Westergaard late Friday had also been involved in a plot against Clinton in Kenya.
Clinton visited Kenya last August.
Their report said Kenyan police had arrested the suspect in 2009 and had held him for seven weeks. The Kenyan press had linked his arrest with a plot against Clinton, the paper added.
“This connection has been confirmed to Politiken by intelligences source,” the article added.
The newspaper noted that a statement Saturday from the Danish intelligence service, PET, had said of the suspect: “He is also suspected of having been involved in terror related activities during his stay in East Africa.”
The suspect, who allegedly broke into Westergaard’s home with an axe in a bid to kill him because of a caricature he had drawn of the prophet Mohammed which sparked deadly protests in the Muslim world, has not been named by the Danish authorities.
Approached by Politiken, Bo Jensen, the Danish ambassador to Kenya, would neither confirm or deny that the suspect charged in Denmark was the same person the previous year in Kenya.
But Jensen told the Danish news agency Ritzau the man arrested in Kenya had been picked up because his papers were not in order.
Kenyan officials had not confirmed he was involved in any plot against Clinton, he added. “It’s just a story in a newspaper.”
Danish intelligence, approached by AFP, refused to comment on the story.
But they put him back on the street, I see. Even allowed him to travel to Denmark.
Hmm. Very interesting. I don’t know whether to believe it or not, but I’ll file it away for further cross-connections.
I think that Barry has given Kenya and Odinga a wide birth because he doesn’t want anyone thinking of him as a Kenyan. Or even as Kenyan Muslim.
That’s why he vacations in Hawaii, not in Kenya, and the press reminded us every five minutes that he was born in Hawaii and grew up there. (Nothing about Indonesia, either.) And that’s presumably why Kenya has completely dropped off the radar map in the MSM.
You’d think some enterprising reporter or news show might be interested in doing some colorful background stories on our biracial president’s Kenyan origins. Far from it. They have dropped it like a hot potato.
Yet Obama is very active behind the scenes with Kenya , Odinga and his sector of Kenyan politics while publicly distancing himself completely from the elected Kenyan government.
Several “educational programs are currently being run in Kenya, all neo colonial in nature, to keep the Kenyan politicians tied to the Obama myth.One is a course training on parliamentary method and democracy in order to undercut the tribal associations in politics there, so democracy can be used to install Odinga under a policy of Sharia Law, converting Kenya into a Muslim nation. This effort is tio establish the African wing of the caliphate from Yemen to Soamlia, Kenya, Sudan, Libya and across North Africa.
Its not about democracy, its about the Islamification of Kenya. The tribal politics protects Kenya, even though it is “undemocratic,” in nature.
This is why Obama is heavily involved in Yemen and is releasinng Gitmo Al Qaeda prisoners back where they can do the most damage to the West.
