Entering Familiar Territory - U.S. Marines with Lima Company, 3rd Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment enter Combat Outpost Changalok, Afghanistan, Dec. 26, 2009. The Marines are in the area to provide security and develop relationships with the local population.

River Run - U.S. Soldiers with the 3rd Zone Security Forces Advisory Team drive their mine-resistant, ambush-protected vehicles across a river near the Pakistan border, Kandahar province, Afghanistan, Dec. 23, 2009.

my FRiends to welcome in the new year...put out my new calendar....then head off to dreamland!

Oh my...daughter away for the first time....certainly a change in tradition. We will have major fireworks downtown, as it is dark, as opposed to the 4th of July fireworks when it isn't really dark. They are illegal in town, so it remains to be seen/heard how much will be here in the neighborhood.

They were luscious and HUGE!
I love blackeyed peas and keilbasa, too!
I had to work tonight, so the lobsters were fast to fix getting home so late..
