Entering Familiar Territory - U.S. Marines with Lima Company, 3rd Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment enter Combat Outpost Changalok, Afghanistan, Dec. 26, 2009. The Marines are in the area to provide security and develop relationships with the local population.
River Run - U.S. Soldiers with the 3rd Zone Security Forces Advisory Team drive their mine-resistant, ambush-protected vehicles across a river near the Pakistan border, Kandahar province, Afghanistan, Dec. 23, 2009.

Welcome to the Canteen, kingu....what a wonderful tradition. Seeing the floats up close and personal must be really neat. Thanks so much for thinking of the uniformed service members.
I grew up in Lakewood and have family still in Upland and Rancho Cucamonga. Never did go to the parade....a nice warm blanket on the floor in from of the tv was my view.
