Both Perry and Hutchison appear to be compromised candidates compared to Debra Medina, the apparent conservative candidate for Governor of Texas.

Any comments on the track record, veracity and conservatism of Perry vs. Hutchison?

Neither is great, but I get the impression that Perry has been moving to the right, and Kaye Bailey has been moving way to the left.

I’d rather keep Perry in there and put Hutchison on the road to nowhere. She must be broomed out.

Apparently, Kay Baily was just funnin’ when she said she would resign her Senate seat to run for governor.

Last word was that she would wait until spring.

I have not heard much about Medina, can you tell me what she has done? I went to her website but I would like a good summary of her accomplishments.

We would love to vote for Medina, but they won’t count her votes. Only Perry and Hutchison count as credible candidates among the under-informed GOP electorate.

Perry’s doing a good job for Texas... and KBH is a total sell-out LIAR. She’s done. Senate Obamacare whore. Put a fork in her. Medina is a rookie...does not stand a chance.

Rick’s got my vote already.

There is also a serious Democrat threat in outgoing Houston Mayor Bill White, who is on the left side of the TX popularity poll. People here may be wanting “more programs”.

Democrat John Sharp is waiting to take KBH’s seat whenever she bails out.

Perry seems to be more conservative than Hutchison. I have felt for quite a while.....about 13 years or so, that old Kay is looking pretty haggard, as well as performing very disappointingly with her slide to the left.

I say the old gal should have been put out to pasture at least 6 years ago.

A Democrat winning TX 2010? LOL. Fat chance in hell. We need to pay attention ...but, when wallets run dry because of the wild spending spree in DC - you can bet yer ass the voters in Texas get lined up on the conservative side. Nothing like a Texan being financially assaulted by the left. (hear the rabid screams of anger)

I’d be shocked if anyone in the country votes DEM by November. We’re about to get financially raped with freedoms stripped. DEM’s are DOOMED.

Dick Cheney has a radio ad with his endorsement of KBH.
She’s a DC insider and we don’t need her to be Tx Gov.

I feel exactly the same way. I haven't been following state politics nearly as closely as I should (what, with all of the shelling we've been taking from Washington this year), but I get the same sense of where these two are leaning.

KBH lost me completely when she snuck in an amendment to a Senate bill that essentially gutted federal funding for the border fence. That is abject treason in my book, and unforgivable.

KBH also voted to end debate in the last round of Senate votes on Obamacare, effectively ushering that abomination on to the next stage toward passage.

Why Dick Cheney endorsed her for Texas Guv is a total mystery to me.

On the other hand, Sarah Palin endorsed Rick Perry for re-election. In my mind, Sarah made the best choice between two uninspiring candidates.

KBH needs to retire. She’s a do nothing. No way can she beat Perry after she sold her soul. I like Cheney and I like his kid Liz even more...but Dick needs to get a grip on something other than his name. If he’s looking to get back into politics, he needs to distance himself from that woman.
Perry is our guy...we need to support him.
