Boycott Nebraska.
Me | 12/20/04 | Me

Senator Nelson of Nebraska cut a special deal. In exchange for agreeing to allow government funds be used for abortions, he got a special deal for Nebraska. The special deal was that Nebraska would not have to pay matching funds for Medicade. All the other 49 states must pay matching funds. Many of those state like my own state of California can not afford to pay those matching funds.

Who pays for Nebraska's Medicare casts? All of us who live in the other 49 states. BS, I say. We should not stand by while Nebraska sucks money from all the rest of us.

BOYCOTT Nebraska! We should not give them any additional revenue after they got this sweet heart deal.

Boycotting anybody will not stop these democrats it will only serve as a distraction for the left. People need to get of their asses and get out and support groups who are in the fight not just rah rahing on the sidelines! I'm actively working on state sovereighty, 9th and 10th amendments issues. People need to look at themselves and ask if they're doing enough.

How do they get away with stuff like this?

I'm fairly sure that Dingy Harry Searchlight Reid got the same deal for Nevada.

Coyote “Won’t matter when we all move to the independent (and rich) nation of Texas

Here in Tx. we now have a greater influx of liberals fleeing from other states socialist hellholes...it's still a mostly conservative state but the drones have made some inroads attempting to screw it up too. I detest DemRats and the scourge they bring here.

What’s the difference between Ben Nelson and a whore? The whore may be better looking.

Yeah, I can imagine. I moved from California to Nebraska and know how frustrating an experience living in a ultra-liberal state like that that can be.

If we can get rid of Hagel, we can get rid of Nelson.

I feel guilty that I ate some Omaha Steaks today. They had a big sale going on so someone in the family ordered some of their stuff. It was pretty good but I said nothing more from Nebraska til Nelson is out.

Quick check of the list you referenced finds that Con Agra is the only one that I’ve had somewhat recent business with but they have been on my sh_t list for a few years just due to their massive size and some past recalls.

Cabela’s, man I hate that. I bought a camp stove from them 35 years ago that still runs like a top.

As someone who lives in this state, us little people have been trying to get rid of Nelson for several years. Warren Buffet and his buds keep Nelson in office by keeping the North O people beholding to the Dems.

No, Ben Nelson has received a large Republican vote in NE for many years now. Mary Landrieu also got many endorsement from “Republican” elected officials (nearly all former Democrats) in her successful 2008 race.

Man, rough night. I log on to FR to read the cogent thoughts of folks across the country that I usually appreciate and respect and what do I get? My fellow Freepers ripping on my state because of clown shoes Ben Nelson.

I would try and convince everyone about how conservative this state really is but it seems kind of pointless. I will only point out that a poll last week showed that 67% of Nebraskans are against the health care bill so we got stabbed in the back as well. I apologize to all of my fellow Freepers for my fellow Nebraskans who foisted this jackass on the United States and for Nebraska being the state that ended up with the 30 pieces of silver.

In ‘06, Nelson ran against the son of the guy who founded my company. He is a conservative intelligent capitalist who, along with his family, built a business that provides jobs to thousands of Nebraskans and is a leader in it’s industry. If it hadn’t been for the general anti Repub sentiment in the country, I think he would have won. I sure wish he would have.

Why do you not think that probably 80 percent of the NE people will have forgotten this latest Nelson treachery by 2012?

There is a good chance too that Bill White, the expected Democrat gubernatorial nominee, can defeat the unpopular Rick Perry for governor next November. But what would people see in White, maybe their hopes of a state income tax, which liberals have pushed for years now.

Meh... We have one of the lowest, if not the lowest unemployment rate in the US, so it’s kind of ironic other states in much worse shape than our are giving us their money... thanks Michigan. By all means boycott Omaha Steaks, I think it is run by a couple of liberals anyway.

You are going to boycott one of the more conservative states because of what a senator did? Why not boycott EVERY state that has at least 1 democrat? Do you by chance live in such a state?

If we can get rid of Hagel, we can get rid of Nelson.

And that is the key to saving our nation. Nothing matters more to the reckless politicians in Washington than staying in office. We need to get organized to defeat them when they support left wing ideas. Victory in elections requires good candidates, dedicated volunteers and MONEY.

Lets use our Freeper skills and network to rapidly steer donations to worthy conservative candidates in the upcoming elections. Money talks. Just $20.00 from a few thousand of us early on in the election cycle could make a difference.

Retiring a few dozen liberal senators would make a huge difference.
