Former Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee is headed to Nebraska.
Huckabee, the former Arkansas governor, will headline an Omaha rally Sunday afternoon to try to persuade U.S. Sen. Ben Nelson to change his mind on health care reform.
The rally will be at 3 p.m. at the Civic Auditorium Music Hall, 17th Street and Capitol Avenue. Doors will open at 2 p.m.
The rally was put together quickly Saturday after Nelson, a Nebraska Democrat, said he would support a health-care reform bill in the Senate.
Republican U.S. Rep. Lee Terry of Omaha is expected to attend, as well as state lawmakers and other elected officials.
The rally is being sponsored by Americans for Prosperity of Nebraska, a group opposed to President Barack Obama's health-care reform efforts.

Well Dingy Harry is pushing to do the vote by Christmas so that his Senators can’t go home and be strong-armed and harangued by their constituents, BEFORE the vote. Can’t let them change their minds, you know.
I just see Huckabee doing this more for “political brownie points” for himself than to help save the lives of innocent babies. Huckabee really wants to be the front runner for ‘12 POTUS. He’s a “fake” conservative who also ran a “dirty” campaign in ‘08 for POTUS, and I’m not forgetting these facts.
Huckabee supporters think a vote for the Huckster is a vote for Jesus.
Who are the bigger sinners - Mormons who vote for Romney just because he is one of them or Evangelicals who vote for the Huckster because he is a pastor?
I wish both of those saps would just disappear and go away. Now that
would be beneficial to America.
The Senate will have to vote again, probably sometime in mid January, on the version that comes out of conference. Although I dont hold out a lot of hope, it is possible that with a loud enough protest, one or more RATS will refuse to support the rewrite.
The wild card right now is still possibly Webb - VA freepers, get busy.
They need to hear from us all week, because the public firestorm is going to go nuclear in early January.

Good to hear.
Huck is a good man I am sure,but we have the extraordinary Sarah Palin (once in a generation candidate)and all Huck is going to do is muddy the waters for Sarah. Is he going to hang on to the very end again, and really only be a spoiler?
Huck stick with your tv gig, and try to remember that the odd poll that shows you out in front is made up by the MSM. Try and see the reality Huck, it`s the MSM that wants you to run.
