The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Friday shows that 28% of the nation's voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Forty-two percent (42%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -14 (see trends).
The number who Strongly Disapprove of Obamas performance has now topped 40% for seven straight days and his overall Approval Index rating has been in negative double digits every day for over a month.
The President this morning at a United Nations Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen at a time when a record number of Americans believe that global warming is caused by long-term planetary trends rather than human activity. Fifty-one percent (51%) of voters believe President Obama holds the opposite view and sees human activity as the primary cause of global warming.
The Presidential Approval Index is calculated by subtracting the number who Strongly Disapprove from the number who Strongly Approve. It is updated daily at 9:30 a.m. Eastern (sign up for free daily e-mail update). Updates are also available on Twitter and Facebook.
Overall, 44% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the President's performance. That matches the lowest level of approval yet recorded for this President. Fifty-four percent (54%) now disapprove. See recent demographic highlights from the tracking poll.
In a commentary, Larry Kudlow wonders if Ben Bernanke should withdraw his name from consideration for a second term as Chairman of the Federal Reserve Board. Just 21% of Americans favor his confirmation. Bernanke opposes an audit of the Fed, a policy favored by 75% of voters nationwide.
My favorite part of this poll is in the total overall approve/disapprove. 0bama’s now -10! May the purple-lipped Kenyan usurper continue to tank even further.
These trend lines say one thing to me loud and clear: America is waking up to the nightmare that is obama. Worst President ever.
What's up with that?
Is it a sympathy approval, because poor Barry's being "disapproved on by whitey"?
One Big Ass Mistake America!
And which group is supposedly racist?
I thought I was the only one who noticed the purple lips... I swear, in that speech at West Point, the man looked (and sounded) like Zombie!
I am. And so are you. For pointing it out.
The purple lip thing has been discussed quite a bit with some speculating he has lung problems. Maybe he uses too much breath delivering his ‘awe-inspiring’ speeches. LOL
I suspect that by the time 0 leaves office, there will be many many more racists than there are now.
-And these racists will be members of all races.
Cue the kid.
I was not much of a racist before this dude was elected. But count me in now!
I have to say I’m not much for the whole -14 strongly D to strongly A thing. Don’t get me wrong, this is cautiously good news and the trend is our friend as one FReeper says...but... the headline IMHO should be:
44% APPROVAL!
If he slips to under 40% approval in RAS he’s TOAST, done.
I expect to see it fall further as people on the far-left begin to follow Howard Dean away from the Kool-Aid jug over charges that Barry “sold them out”.
The good news is, his approval amongst blacks can't go any higher(it's already pretty much at 100%), while his disapproval amongst whites can only go lower with his disastrous policies.
By this time next year, 0bozo will be looking back fondly at the days when his overall disapproval was only 54%.
You’re probably not as much of a racist, by objective definition,
as you are now less afraid to speak the truth out of fear of political correctness.
The race card expired 11/5/08.
We throw the term “kool-aid drinker” around a lot, and carelessly, I believe.
909 people, including 276 children, DIED due to “koolaid drinking” to which the phrase refers.
We should keep this in mind.
‘The President earns approval from 37% of White voters and 98% of African-American voters.
What’s up with that?
Is it a sympathy approval, because poor Barry’s being “disapproved on by whitey”?’
I think it’s called racism.
