(SALT LAKE CITY) – Former presidential candidate Mitt Romney is preparing a more prominent presence on the national scene with a new book coming out in the spring. His new book, “No Apology: The Case for America’s Greatness” comes out March 2 and Romney is kicking off a book tour at the Salt Palace March 13 with a book signing hosted by the University of Utah’s Hinckley Institute of Politics. Kirk Jowers, a long-time Romney backer, is its director and says the book will offer ideas about turning around a nation some see in a decline. Jowers said he hopes to have 10,000 people at the book signing in March. At an earlier event, Romney was in Salt Lake City and was asked by reporters if he was running for the 2012 election. Tickets go on sale for the book signing this Thursday at 10am on MittRomneyUtah.

He reminds me of a RINO with a used car salesman past.

Well, he’s obviously going to be running again. That’s unfortunate.

Romney plans book tour in March

Good for Mitt but if he thinks he will have a fraction of the support Sarah had....he's even dumber (or conceited than I thought.) Mitt is the proverbial used car salesman...people know it to. The GOP better get its head right or they will cease to exist.

Reminds me of when Prince Charles brought his second wife to the US. As I recall, she was utterly distraught about the fact that she did not create any media and popular excitement, in contrast to the experience of her predecessor, Princess Di.

I was wondering when someone would say that. Thanks.

Exactly.

But what astonishes me is the size of his ego. It sounds like he believes that he can compete with Sarah’s book sales.

His elevator doesn’t go all the way to the top.

I bet Sarah will end up signing more copies of “Going Rogue” than Mitt’s book sells.

You will probably lose that bet.

Romney will bulk purchase copies of his book behind the scenes to inflate his sales numbers. Romney wants the presidency badly (it would be fair to say he lusts after it.) Spending a few million to ensure his book makes the best seller list (and himslef look popular) is simply an investment in himself.

Wasn’t Romney a part of the Pizza Hut tour that featured “leading” republicans i.e. mccain, jeb bush and other RINOs?

Romney is a little too slick for my taste. He reminds me of a used car salesman.

I went to Hannity's Freedom Concert in Dallas in 2007. All the on-stage personalities, including Governor Perry, Senator Hutchinson, Mark Levin, Colonel North and Hannity, were dressed Texas informal style because most of the music was country-western. Romney came on stage to speak and he was dressed as in your photo as if he just came from Washington. Certainly didn't win any converts with that impression - a Washington RINO we don't need.

Palin’s book title was “Going Rogue”

Mitt’s book title should be “Going Away”

“Romney will bulk purchase copies of his book behind the scenes to inflate his sales numbers.”

That is true.

Who was that congresscrook from Texas (now quite dead) who years ago wrote a book which didn’t sell, so his “friends” got together and purchased them by the truckloads and are now warehoused somewhere unread?
