Yes, let them off the hook, Mr Gregg. But be aware that if the Dems do well in the 2010 off-terms, conservatives may have lost their last chance to derail the insane tax-and spend-libs before they socialize and bankrupt this country.

“...passage of a commission to come up with ways to reduce long-term debt.”

Any member of Congress who really believes that a (probably) toothless commission would have their debt reducton ideas adopted is...well, they’re highly deluded.

As you point out that is above his pay grade. He has no say in the matter.

What a moron this man is.

To reduce our debt all they have to do is STOP SPENDING OUR MONEY!

They have an addiction to spending and since it is not theirs they have no conscience about not stopping.

This kind of spending is the same as the mental problem some people have where they spend whether or not they have the funds or the need.

Remember, this is the Rhino that Obama wanted in his administration. Of course, he is a traitor.

And you ain’t seen nothing yet! Congress has a tall stack of billion/trillion dollar spending bills and tax bills waiting and they will all get passed.

The Congressional Black Caucus wants billions to bailout out black/Latino households from mortgage and credit card debt. In fact, they want to GIVE them homes!!!!

I predict 5 trillion MORE in spending/borrowing by the Dems within the next year. The Republicans can’t stop any of it.

Is this guy retarded? Maybe he can convince algore to come back and reinvent government again.

Maybe they can form a commission to find a home to care for all retarded senators and representatives.

Why does the Republican Party keep sending people to DC who are just plain stupid? When the Democrats want to destroy the country and the Republicans are just plain stupid, there isn't much reason for optimism.

Worse yet, much of what they spend is really nothing more than vote buying. Sophisticated spending designed/disguised to buy vote after vote, get more illegals in the country etc etc.

trouble with buying votes is that you have to buy them over and over or those you buy lose interet.

These Pubbies are so out of touch with the people its pathetic. That is why making donations to worthy candidates and not to the GOP is the way to go.

I am hopefully that our war on rinoism will get traction. If we continue to fund only conservative candidates and dry up RNC funding until they start to get it,we should have an impact.IT may take a cycle or two to catch on but it should have get the traction we need.

“How naive.”

Certainly the rats would be if they took the bait. Almost every dem voted for 1 Trillion dollars a year. That’s too good (and too outrageous) to pass up. To their shame, so too did several R senators.

I did not know this senator was in charge of voter anger. For some reason, I always thought that voters were in charge of that.

Can't congressmen think without a commission to tell them what to do? We don't need no stinking commissions. Stop spending money that isn't yours and stop voting for programs that increase the size of gov’t.

Yep, that commission’s gonna reduce our deficit, just like Gramm-Rudman and Bush I’s promise-breaking tax increase did! Yessiree!

Hey, Gregg, let your testicles descend and deny unanimous consent on spending legislation, already!
