Free Republic is a fringe right-wing Christian fundamentalist site
12/11/2009 | Jim Robinson

Free Republic is a fringe right-wing Christian fundamentalist site... or so they say... and they might even be right.

We don't go for any of that godless left-wing big government socialist malarkey. And we do put our faith and trust in God, not government. We are pro-God, pro-Life, pro-Family, pro-Country and pro-Liberty.

We do not believe that government or science knows what's best for us or our children. We will make our own decisions thank you very much.

Every once in a while some group of posters get together and try to bend Free Republic to their will. Now, we tend to be pretty free-wheeling around here and will take a lot of guff and a lot of obnoxious insults from a lot of people, but eventually a breaking point is reached.

For example, when a group of RINO lovers recently banded together to try to force FR to accept an abortionist/gay rights RINO as our presidential candidate, they soon found themselves on the outs.

And a few years ago a group of evolutionists tried to force FR over to their way of thinking and they soon found themselves on the outs.

FR is a pro-God, pro-Creator, pro-Life, pro-Liberty site.

And now we have yet another group of Darwinists trying to have their Darwinist way with us. Well, as I've said before what doesn't kill us will only make us stronger.

Darwin Central has again declared war on FR. They have ping lists and email lists and will try to pull away as many FReepers as they possibly can. So be it. Those who would rather go with Darwin, please go. I sure as hell won't try to stop you.

FR will remain a pro-God, pro-Life, pro-Liberty, pro-Creator conservative site.

We wholeheartedly believe that our unalienable rights are a gift from God our Creator not from man or government. And no man, no government will ever deprive us of same.

Keep your powder dry.

“My great unpublished work involves Wooly Worms. I have carefully studied the banded catipillers and have collected hundreds for close observation. The purpose of the 15 year study is to determine if there is a relation between the color variation ant he winter weather.”

This is very interesting to me! Are you publishing your findings? What have you concluded so far. We love creepy crawlies of all kinds around here and are always watching some kind of creature do something.

Perhaps, it’s in your link, but for time restraints :) - when (in Christian time) did the Jewish calendar begin? If we are at the 6000 yr mark, there is a discrepancy of approx. 230 yrs off the Jewish calendar 5769. Can you help me out here where this gap is.

No, they only get banned for being trolls or retreads.

BTW, how’s that disconnect between your sign up date and the number of years ago that you quit donating to FR working out for you?

They understand evolution. We teach it to them. They also understand that our belief is not mainstream.

They will be on their own to investigate it further as they get older. Our house if full of unfiltered evolution material.

I do not believe in “sheltering” them from other worldviews only teaching them in context. They have plenty of time to decide what they believe on their own.

They already interact with the rest of the world. My dad who is a pastor, doesn’t believe YEC. He taught me differently.

I also teach them that dating has no biblical model and that they will not be doing any of that. That isn’t main stream either. My children are of course exposed to dating culture on a regular basis as my husband is a full time youth pastor.

Lol! I can’t tell from your post if you mean to mock me or compliment me. Either way thanks for being impressed! :)

It would be un-Cristian-like for me to mock you,and not very honest intellectualy to compliment you.

I do, however, admire your zeal.

Them that perform and do activities that they know to not be truthful or honest be damned.

Them that do so, not knowing their fault, are as innocent as the newborn child.

.So said some dude, I foreget when or where.

.perhaps it was paraphrased, by my husband.

Sheesh, read my past posts, I made it quite clear.

Which posts did you answer those two questions in?

Lol! If we work hard enough we can always find some. :) We really love scientific observation and experiments around here. We are trying to hatch a praying mantis egg case but I think our house is too drafty and it may be too late. :(
Oh well. We also have a 10 month old tadpole, no kidding. The other one sprouted legs and then died at 9 months old.

Yeah.

You know, GR, too many of us have seen retreads slip in their posts and make some comment about their association with FR from before their sign up date so that makes that many of us rather skeptical.

Especially considering that a retread is in a position where they would HAVE to deny it.

If they deny it, then they are lying and might be able to hang on for a while. If they admit it, they get banned again. So, it’s not unexpected that someone would take the denial with a grain of salt.

Say, how’s that comparing YECs to the Phelps group working out for you, too?

#27 may need to be updated soon

27. We believe that Ronald Wilson Reagan is the greatest president of the 20th century and that Bill Clinton, Jimmy Carter, Barack Obama tie for the worst.

Well, that is encouraging and I commend you for that. See, I have no problem with others beliefs except when I am told that I have to believe it or I am going to hell or where ever.I will respectively disagree with you without telling you you are wrong as long as you don't expect me to accept it as law.You have a great evening and take care of your youngens.

I would have to say that the worst are Wilson, FDR, Carter and Obama. However, Zero has another three years and could very well wind up having the bottom spot all to himself.

They understand evolution. We teach it to them. They also understand that our belief is not mainstream.

As it VERY typical amongst Christian homeschoolers.

Interesting, is it not, how homeschoolers so regularly outperform their public school counterparts, when we're regularly warned about the dangers of teaching creation in addition to evolution and what it's going to do to their intellectual development and academic opportunities.

Funny, my three creationist believing kids were all invited to join the honors programs in their secular private universities.

It’s working out great, thank you for asking. The only people that disagree are the YEC’ers. And I note that you are far more concerned as to whether I am a retread than you are able to defend the substance of my comments. But, then, you have no answer to my substance.

Anyway, have a Merry Christmas, if you have any idea what it means to be a Christian.
