TEL AVIV – The Palestinian Authority has been negotiating an understanding with the Obama administration regarding a Palestinian threat to unilaterally ask the United Nations to recognize a Palestinian state outside of negotiations with Israel, WND has learned.

According to a senior PA official, the PA's chief negotiator, Saeb Erekat, headed a team that held a series of meetings the past few weeks with members of the Obama administration in Washington to discuss the U.S. response should the Palestinians bring to the U.N. Security Council a resolution to unilaterally create a Palestinian state.

"The U.S. position is less restrained than it appears in the media," said the PA official, referring to media claims the U.S. would veto any such resolution.

The PA official told WND the Obama administration did not threaten to veto the conceptual unilateral resolution, which had been threatened by the Palestinians last month.

The official also said the U.S. supports the creation of a Palestinian state in the 1967 borders, meaning in the Gaza Strip, West Bank and eastern sections of Jerusalem.

well, if the US “endorses” it, it won’t be “unilateral”, will it?

And bambi will prove to the UN he needs their approval to run the world, about as much as he needs the rest of the US govt to dictate to the USA.

Three years to go, if we make it that long.

When you elect a Barack Hussein Obama, this type of backroom dealing should be expected. Indeed, you should expect intelligence and money to also flow.

OK, that does it. This is the first time I’ve actually posted this seriously: here comes World War III.

Is this why 0bama figures he’s a one term president?

Intentionally or not he’s right in sync with ahmadinejad’s hopes for the Apocalypse.

I have real trouble with the fact that I’m posting this seriously. I don’t like it.

God preserve the peace.

This has been going on for so long. The question for today is the same as the first day it ever came up. Who cares whether they declare a Palestinian State? Or don't declare? Or declare and look triumphant?

Who cares if they declare unilaterally? Or bilaterally? Or multilaterally?

Whatever they declare has zip to do with anything Israel does or doesn't do regarding internal security.

I say let the palis do just that... Declare themselves a state... Then the next rocket that falls on Israeli soil will be an act of war by a hostile state, and Israel should just wipe out Gaza. Don't invade, just begin indiscriminate shelling and rocket attacks. Turn off the water and power. And let Egypt deal with the problem (which is something that Egypt really doesn't want!)

I'm really starting to believe he's going to become Secretary General of the U.N. in 2013... after he's finished completely eviscerating the last nation standing in the way of a total world government.

And I also can't believe I'm seriously considering such things.

Not sure, but, if they declare, they may need to state a capital and if I recall correctly they want part or all of Jerusalem. Now, THAT could pose a problem to Israel amd its internal security, wouldn't it?

That's what's bugging me. I'm starting to believe that it can *really* happen and not just theoretically happen. :0/

They can pass all the resolutions they want, but the cold hard fact is, Israel has the boots on the ground and they’re not going to just pick up their toys and go home.

Unless the UN orders an invasion force or stirs up the arab states to dislodge them, there will be no pali state - period.

I think the UN should right the wrong of letting the Arabs run the show. They have prevented Israel, a member nation, from being able to fully participate.

For decades, Israel was the only member state consistently denied admission into a regional group. The Arab states continue to prevent Israeli membership in the Asian Regional Group, Israel’s natural geopolitical grouping. As a result, Israel sought entry into the Western and Others Group (WEOG) and in May 2000 was granted admission to that regional group in New York, but not in Geneva, the seat of several U.N. bodies and subsidiary organizations. Israel's participation in the U.N., therefore, is still limited and it is restricted from participating in U.N. Geneva-based activities. In 2004, Israel obtained a permanent renewal to its membership to the WEOG for New York activities.

Obama knows he will never be re elected, so he is pushing for the destrution of America as fast as he can. He thinks being a black POTUS, he is immune from impeachment. He thought wrong.

I also wouldn’t be surprised if Obama would come to defense of the PA in case of battles with Israel struggling on recognition and territory disputes.

The problem with that idea is that there is a not insignificant number of Israeli Arabs — yes, they have Israeli citizenship.
