Breaking News: Pakistan Reportedly Detains Five D.C.-Area Muslims on Suspicion of Terror
IPT News December 8, 2009 **Updated December 9, 9:00 a.m. EST
A Pakistani newspaper reports the arrest of five foreign nationals after a raid in a town called Sargodha. The raid took place at the home of a member of the Jaish-e-Muhammad, a Pakistani movement designated as a terrorist group by the U.S. Treasury Department in 2001.
According to the report, "The DPO told that these people had been living in Sargodha since Nov 30 and it was quite a possibility that they were engaged in acts of terrorism." It names the five as Ahmed Abdullah, Waqar Hassan Khan, Eman Hassan, Yasir and Rami Zamzam and describes them as two Yemenis, an Egyptian, a Swede and a U.S.-born Pakistani.

I said they were off enjoying a little terrorist training.
Isn’t it disgusting how CAIR is taking credit for tracking down these creeps? OTH, how did they already know so much about them....???
CAIR is disgusting. Period.
You’re welcome RR.
Good on CAIR for helping out, as well as their families for going straight to the authorities.
Good on Pakistan as well for fully cooperating.
In Pakistan, the government isn’t afraid to use the word “terrorist”
These 5 young men clearly had terrorist intentions and should be put away for a long time.
And more and evidence is popping up that a “fifth” column is emerging. Its much much worse then any of you can imagine here
...Which is right next door to Wolfenstein.
Therein lies the problem. If it cant be proved beyond a reasonable doubt that they engaged in illegal activity then we will just have to bring them back to the US and let them go.

Update 3: The owners of the Facebook group dedicated to the brothers closed it down saying: We have decided with careful consideration to close the group out of respect for the family members of our brothers.
Update 2: Message from CAIR below.
Update 1: Apparently, the New York Times (via AP) is reporting that a farewell video was made by the brothers.

There was a lot of news and rumors spreading on Facebook of 5 brothers in the Washington DC area gone missing the past few days. Looks like they were in Pakistan and may have been arrested.”
I always meant to ask 7o9 what his native language was.

Pakistan - Al Qaeda, Taliban targeting Pakistani nuclear sites

Excerpt -
Yesterday’s suicide bombing at the Kamra Air Force Base in Punjab was not the first strike at a nuclear weapons storage facility. After a closer look at the bases struck inside Pakistan since August, at least two more strikes occurred either on or near nuclear weapons storage facilities, based on open source information on Pakistan’s nuclear weapons programs. Since August 2007, there have been two suicide attacks at or near the Sargodha Air Force Base, a nuclear weapons and missile storage facility in central Punjab province. Other attacks in Punjab and the Northwest Frontier Province may be aimed at facilities providing regional security for Pakistan’s nuclear program.

Wish I could disagree.
Maybe the Pakistanis will offer to send troops to the US to help get our terrorism problem under control.
Will the Pakis give them a military tribunal or a civilian trial ( just to show us how wonderful they are )?
I mean as long as the government (The Prez) has huge slush funds and likes to payoff Hillary’s campaign debt of about 6 million...
I mean it would be cool to me to pay the Paki’s about 6 million to keep these goobers for a while...
Why do we want them back??? Splain that one to me maybe...
Steve, here’s the Reader’s Digest condensed version answer to your question (re “why do we want them back?”):
Talking to them is a good thing. Maybe they would like to tell the American authorities who else/what else might be of interest to us (the U.S.A.).
But you're right. They'll probably be questioned and released. "Open wide. Oh. Very bad. All those kaffir teeth must come out!"
