Just in from CNBC: Gatorade says it is discontinuing its "Gatorade Tiger Focus" product line.
"It has nothing to do with recent events," the company says, laughably.
Of course, they're still sponsoring him, so it's not a total cut-off.
But this is just the beginning of the damage about to be inflicted on Woods's very fat pocketbook.
Tiger Woods is now associated with pornstars, domestic disputes, and the hospitalization of his mother-in-law. In other words, he's toxic.

I think Gatorade might be making a mistake. It’s mor obvious now than ever that Tiger’s a man whose lifestyle demands the frequent replenishment of bodily fluids.
I dunno if this is a smart move — the man does need to replenish bodily fluids!

I don’t know who Tiger hired to be his PR person, but it’s probably that same lady who was hired by Terrell Owens. This isn’t good for Tiger but from a PR standpoint it seems to have gone from bad to worse to terrible.
I would not be surprised if Tiger withdrew from the tour completely this year. I would recommend it. And let the sponsorships be pulled. Tiger needs to take a sabbatical just to get his head straight. Right now there are too many distractions and his participation would be bad for the sport.
In a year he might consider a comeback.

I never heard of the Gatorade Tiger Focus product line. That could be part of why they’re killing it, there’s too many types of Gatorade that in the end are really all the same foul tasting stuff.
