Of course, the subtitle of Sarah Palins book is An American Life.
Because she is the lovely avatar of real Americans ordinary, hard-working, God-fearing, common-sense, good, ordinary, real Americans.
If you are not living an American life, you are, to use a Palin coinage, living bass-ackwards.(snip)
I approached reading her book with trepidation, worried I might learn that I am not a real American, dang it, just another dreaded, jaded enlightened elite.

Dowd goes down a laundry list of all the things she and Palin share in common. Here's one glaring difference:
And...
Lest we forget...
...Rules!

Sarah Palin is everything that Maureen Dowd wishes she was and is not.

Palin/Zeta-Jones 2012.
And stop those stupid questions about Catherine Zeta-Jones' Welsh birth preventing her from being VP. She was born in Hawaii and I have the birth certificate to prove it. No, you can't see it.

“I was beginning to panic. I pored over the book to see if there was anything that I shared in common with this apotheosis of traditional American values.”
Nope, probably not. Elitists do not tend to have any respect for or reflection of traditional American values. In fact, I wonder why she was feigning a desire to share those values.

Totally self-defeating list of side by side comparisons.
Which is what made it worth reading.
That, and the fact that it was mercifully short.

I don’t care what Mo Dowdy has to say. I don’t read the fecal matter she spews into print. She is the equivalent of a politician. That is to say, an unprincipled whore.

You can almost feel the purple headed monster of jealousy’s hot breath searing the back of Maureen Dowd’s neck.
Don’t ya just love it?

Here, I’ll give Dowd a “cred”.
Her final sentence was about Piper.
She has an inkling, at least, that Piper is going to be the next Piper “Quincy” Palin.

I'd bet MoDo approached Going Rogue with trepidation because she was afraid she wouldn't understand the words.

ALL of your pictures prove that God loves men and wants to see them happy.
What Dowd forget to say was that Sarah stayed right, and Maureen veered left. Sarah also managed to snag and KEEP the man she loved.
Better luck next time, Maureen.
