The Climate 'Creationists'
FSM ^ | 12/7/09 | Edward Cline

Posted on 12/08/2009 5:00:56 AM PST by xcamel

Global warming is a religion, not a science. The prospect of governing every action of every individual on the planet in the name of staving off “catastrophic climate change,” and charging especially the U.S. a fee for impoverishing it, makes belief in global warming as tenacious and anti-reason as the literal interpretation of the Bible is to a fundamentalist or evangelical holly-roller. The fraudsters have come too close to their goal of “world governance” to concede not only error, but the lies that sustained that error, as well. They want to rule, or at least see men ruled by others.

Global warming advocates are “creationists” because, in their view, man is the exclusive “creator” of the potential – nay, they say the inevitability – of catastrophic climate change.

It would not be irrelevant, then, to preface comments on Climategate by relating another instance of a furor instigated by religious creationists over a scientific finding, in this instance, the unnecessary carping over the discovery of the Java Man. The following discussion is from the blog site Creationist Arguments: Java Man.

Many creationists have claimed that Java Man, discovered by Eugene Dubois in 1893, was "bad science". Gish (1985) says that Dubois found two human skulls at nearby Wadjak at about the same level and had kept them secret; that Dubois later decided Java Man was a giant gibbon; and that the bones do not come from the same individual. Most people would find Gish's meaning of "nearby" surprising: the Wadjak skulls were found 65 miles (104 km) of mountainous countryside away from Java Man.

Similarly for "at approximately the same level": the Wadjak skulls were found in cave deposits in the mountains, while Java Man was found in river deposits in a flood plain (Fezer 1993).

LOL. “Never has so much been proved by so few with so little (manipulated) evidence”.

Truly, and never has such a finding been the basis for such draconian fetters upon capitalism and the basis for the growth of government power and regulation.

Gee, it is almost as if they were GREEN on the outside and RED on the inside. Watermelon manipulation of science. Communists just cannot seem to do good science.

Something about one who approaches science with an agenda that has nothing to do with science always seems to prevent them doing any actual science.... sort of like creationists.

Yep,

And unfortunately the creationist end up pasting all Conservatives as anti-science Luddites, which has made it much harder fighting the Liberal’s junk science like Global Warming and 2nd hand smoke BS.

Equating global warming alarmists with those who believe Scripture to be true? This is a stupid analogy.

Why introduce anti-Christian sentiments in a discussion of global warming?

Christians tend to be the ones who see right through this power-grab. The elite are the ones who are promoting it.

Again, this is a stupid analogy. It’s the God-worshipers who see through this. It’s the earth-worshipers who are falling for this AGW hype.

Where is this coming from? The founder of Free Republic believes in God and in Scripture. Are you calling the founder of FR an “anti-science Luddite”?

Check this out:

Obama wants a non-religious Christmas at the White House. It’s the non-Christians who are promoting this global warming fraud. It’s largely religious people who are questioning it.

Creationism and Christianity are not synonyms.

My sentiments are anti-creationism. I am a Christian.

The main evidence against human caused global warming is the LONG ages of the Earth when temperature fluctuated without any humans at all, without human activity, and without human industrial activity.

The notion that the Earth is only a few thousand years old would discount that data.

There is no Christianity without a Creator. Scripture is very clear about that, as is the evidence. Just saying.

That you think creationists consider the earth to be “only a few thousand years old” reveals your ignorance about creationism. I challenge you to do a bit of research on what modern creationist theories. The “orchard” theory, for example. You’ll be surprised at how scientifically reasonable it is.

My experience is that those who worship God do not fall for this global warming hoax. And that those who do not (Obama, Gore, folks in the UN, etc.) are the ones pushing it. So to compare creationists with global warming alarmists just breaks down. There’s no factual evidence supporting such a comparison; only anti-Christian, pro-evolution/elite bias.

Please overlook some of my clumsy sentences in my previous comment and consider the gist of what I'm saying.

Again, I challenge you to consider the orchard model of creation. You'll find fascinating info on "kinds" and genetic drift there as well.

Please dismiss the cliche that creationists are Luddites. Jesus was (is) a creationist, who believed in a literal Adam and Eve, flood, and so on; surely you don't consider your Lord, whom Scripture says was in fact *present* at creation, to be an ignorant Luddite?
