In a move by the Obama administration that is gallingly cynical and would be considered treasonous in a less progressive era, a message sent by Code Pink [2] and an article published [3] by the left wing online publication AlertNet indicates the White House is working with the left wing terrorist support group Code Pink to agitate the public and undermine President Barack Obamas newly announced Afghanistan war policy.
Top Obama funder, Code Pink co-founder and terrorist supporter Jodie Evans [4] wrote at AlterNet of a White House initiated phone call she received last week, two days after Obamas Afghan war speech at West Point. The Obama official said the administration wanted to consult with Code Pink in response to the groups e-mail campaign targeting the White House with opposition to the presidents surge strategy.
However, it appears that the Obama administration was already in consultation with Code Pink before this reported phone call. In its message to supporters, Code Pink guaranteed their e-mails would be read by someone in the White House.
Its time to turn our outrage into sustained action. Use our quick and easy tool to send your response to Obamas announcement to the Executive Office of the Presidentwhere it will be read by a member of Obamas team! Let them know that you are mad as hell and will push back on the escalation. It is our job to continue to press them as we move forward.
In the article at AlterNet, Jodie Evans gloats about Code Pinks success, noting the Obama official called three minutes after the e-mail campaign was launched.
It was working! Impassioned CODEPINKers all over the globe were being heard inside the White House!
Obama has been consulting with Jodie Evans for nearly three years since first inviting her to co-host the breakthrough Hollywood fundraiser in February 2007 [5] that made his presidential candidacy a serious contender. He appointed her a bundler for his campaign [6] and took tens of thousands of dollars in contributions [7] from her for his Obama for America and Obama Victory Fund campaign vehicles.
Obamas last known meeting with Jodie Evans was in October [4] when she gave him an antiwar propaganda package based on her recent trip to Kabul. While in Afghanistan, she met with members of the Taliban [8], according to her friend Jane Fonda. Obama allowed himself to be filmed [9] accepting the propaganda package.
Jodie Evans and Code Pink have a well documented history of working to bring about Americas defeat in the war on terror. They have the blood of Americas soldiers on their hands from funding the other side in Fallujah [10], acting as a mouthpiece [11] for Mahmoud Ahmadinejad [12] and sympathizing with Osama bin Laden. [13]
Obama and his team know this, yet they continue to work with Jodie Evans and Code Pink as Obama sends more of Americas sons and daughters to fight Code Pinks allies overseas.
Nice article ping.
Looks like 0bama is conducting a half@%% surge to surrender.
The Muslim Messiah, the US Congress, or anyone else in this country that can’t back and support our military 100%, needs to stand in front of it.
That would be Treason with a capital “T”.
There's more to the article at the source link.
Impeachment starts in the House Judiciary Committee, which is chaired by John Conyers.
Conyers serves on the board of the Progressive Democrats of America--alongside Code Pink's Jodie Evans and Medea Benjamin.
Those on this site who support Obama’s War and Obama’s escalation of that war will do anything to avoid the logical implication of their decision: they are on Obama’s side!!! Those of us who oppose Obama’s War, however, know better. When this war proves to be a disaster, the conservatives who are now giving him our blood and treasure will be partly to blame. The supporters of Obama’s War can’t have it both ways. Either they are for him or against him. Those who oppose Obama’s War are the only ones who are clearly against him.
Obama can’t send the troops anywhere UNLESS conservatives vote to cut off funding for Obama’s War and demand that we bring home the troops home. Are you willing to do so? If not, you are just as guilty as Obama for any consequences.
And they collude with the Taliban. Simple really. He is not one of US he is born outside the USA and is their Manchurian Candidate.
I don't understand what this means.
My point is Obama has announced he is going to withdraw in 18 months and is working with Code Pink and other leftist anti-American groups to undermine our troops and to help ensure defeat.
It is far and above negotiating with a terrorist and democratic political correctness. It is treason.
Okay then, the logical implication of your position is that we should bring the troops home NOW, rather than let them suffer needleessly through inevitable defeat, right? Let me ask you more directly: do you think Congress should vote yes or vote no when they are asked to approve Obama's request to send MORE troops to Afghanistan? Voting present is not option.
My point is that we should replace the current slimy politicians with real leaders who have the courage and intelligence to create and follow a winning strategy.
NO...would be an unmistakeable vote of "no confidence" in 0bama. But they won't.
Fine...but that's not a realistic option until at least the next election. As a purely practical matter, American lives are at stake in the here and now. Again, in the next few weeks, Congress will vote directly on Obama's request to send more troops to Afghanistan. Do you think it should vote yes or no on this request? There will be no third choice.
Bingo. Those conservatives who will vote Yes (which they will) will share the blame for the consequences. Whether or not they like it, they can be considered Obama's allies pure and simple, regardless of their rhetoric.
If the current situation is expected to remain in place and there is little or no chance to develop a winning strategy then I would vote no. If there was a good chance to reverse the political situation and put a winning strategy in place I would vote yes. I am not playing both sides, I believe that the decision depends on whether the current situation in Washington can be reversed.
Good post!
