Connecticutt Principle Nixes Christmas - Vanity

On FOX News this morning there was a School Board Member, Paul D. D'Angelo, from the Waterbury School, of Waterbury, Connecticutt who was engaging in a lone fight against the principle of that school who is forbidding students from saying "Merry Christmas"...they have been ordered to change it to "Happy Winter".
I was caught up in this man's courage to go against the majority of the school board and the principle in this liberal state, to fight for the American tradition of Christmas and freedom of religion and speech.
I sent him the following email this morning:
Mr. Dangelo,
I saw you this morning on FOX News and I want to send you a big hurrah for standing up for Christmas.
I am not from your state, but I feel the denegration of Christmas and other American traditions is an issue that affects us all as Americans.
In a most hypocritical fashion, those who want to cancel Christmas don't have any problem with taking a two to four week "Christmas Vacation", or accepting "Christmas Bonuses/perks".
Maybe we should remind them that while being a bonafied Federal holiday, only Christmas Day itself is a day off...the rest is at the benevolence of the local authorities, and if all things "Christmas" are to be cancelled, then so should the vacation days and any other bonuses or perks be cancelled as well. The Federal Government has never, ever declared "Winter" as a National holiday.
With the current state of common sense in America, you'll probably lose this battle, but the battle is not the war.
Anyway, you have won my admiration for your courageous stand, and Godspeed in your attempts to set the record straight. We need more people of courage right now in America.
Thanks
FrankR Georgia
I think a few dozen more emails of support from Freepers would be a nice touch to help champion the cause of conservatism and American traditions.
His email is: pdangelo@waterbury.k12.ct.us
Thanks for your indulgence of this vanity, but I thought it was important.

This was discussed this morning on a local talk radio show here in Connecticut. The talk show host was giving out a number to call the principle and pressure him to change the policy.
A caller also stated this is occurring in other schools.

It was the Brad Davis show(braddavis@talkofconnecticut.com)on WDRC-1360am 5:30am-10:00am EST. There is another talk show host on this same station in the afternoon by the name of Dan Lovallo who may also bring up the subject. Send me an freepmail to remind me if he discussed it if you are interested.

I think all the students should get together at the end of the school day and wait until the principal comes out.
And then shout MERRY CHRISTMAS! as loud as they can!
What’s he going to do? Suspend the whole school?

Thanks, I sent Brad an email with the text of the email I sent Mr. D'Angelo.
The PrinciPAL up there may see more "Happy Winter" than he bargained for before this is over.
I'm trying to find his/her email as well.

forbidding students from saying "Merry Christmas"...they have been ordered to change it to "Happy Winter". Breaking on CNN:
CNN just reported that school administrators are now telling teachers that "Happy Winter" has been deemed inappropriate due to the term conflicting with global warming issues.
They are now directing everyone on all district campuses to say, "Happy December" or just "Happy Holidays".

Remember when you kids were tykes, and they thought you couldn't see them if they covered THEIR eyes?
Well, that's the way liberals are...now they're banning "Happy Winter" because what?....it might remind folks that it's NOT warm outside? Sheeeeeesh!
We are dealing with very stupid people who have the audcacity to demean the rest of us for not being as stupid as they are...any questions?
Of course the global warming d**kheads are not "happy" about winter, it totally support Climategate and blows their feeble and false hoax out of the water.
Children...that's what we're dealing with...and bratty ones, at that.
