In a three-way Generic Ballot test, the latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds Democrats attracting 36% of the vote. The Tea Party candidate picks up 23%, and Republicans finish third at 18%. Another 22% are undecided.

Rush is wrong about many things, this is one of them, he'll probably come out and endorse Hillary again today.
What is really needed is for all the third party voters who jumped ship for the Libertarians and the Constitution Parties to come back to the GOP and help foment revolution. Take the party BACK from the neo-con RINOs and re-establish the original Reagan Revolution under the young lions now surging. Sarah Palin, Bobby Jindal and even Ron Paul (adding a crazy old Lobo never hurts) could lead this party and the nation back to prosperity instead of where we stand on the brink of utter ruination and destruction.
If the republicans understood the Enumerated Powers of Article 1. Section 8 of the Constitution they would NEVER have supported Medicare Part D
OK, goals are great but you need a few objectives to get to those goals. Objective 1: No more social security increases. Objective 2: No more Medicare payments. Objective 3: End the federal highway program and increase unemployment in every state in the union. Objective 4: Find a new job if the American people don't hang you from the nearest tree.
Yeah, just a little sarcasm. Yes, I agree with your goals but actual, real and concrete steps to get to those goals can be self-defeating if you make so many enemies and cause so much suffering that no one will listen to you.
If you think you can trust the Blu Curs, they wouldn’t have voted for Pelosi and Reid as speaker and majority leader.
These people deserve our gratitude and thanks and they also deserve for us to send them reinforcements. This Kool Aid drinking will divide us and just continue to elect Dimocrats.
Pay close attention to what happened in MN. Everyone of those 3000 "third party" voters should be ashamed of what they did. Because they were stubborn we are faced with socialized medicine. Those 3000 voters deserve our scorn.
Don’t tell me there’s no difference between the two parties. I know better.
Voting for GOP candidates who are 10% less socialist than their Dem opponents should be now be a completely discredited strategy, but alas it's not.
My concern is that there is a core group of people who are committed to being “independants” or “third-partiers” regardless of whether the GOP adopts the Tea Party “platform” or not. These people will still not vote GOP just because they are contrarian by nature.
I didn’t say that. The republicans are destructive in their own unique way. They are the same in that they are both destroying the country.
"Look, I don't like the Snowes, Collins, etc., any more than you BUT -- " [SNIP]
Long answer short, then: so long as they bear the requisite capital "R" next to their names on the voting ballot, they get your vote automatically, regardless of the demonstrably liberal nature of any position(s) held. If, hypothetically, Nancy Pelosi were to run as an "R" in your district tomorrow, your immediate, Pavlovian response would be to vote for her versus, oh, say, a pro-life Blue Dog Democrat. Gotcha.
Yikes.
Spot on, brother!
They also may not have shot down GWB attempts to partially privatize SS.
Pffffftt. Please.
OLYMPIA SNOWE, on voting for Obamacare: "When history calls, history calls."
The thing no one seems to understand is that there are more of us. The Oligarchy is enjoying a wonderful depression..using our children's future. The Constitution is trashed, Religion is under attack and the average American is in financial bondage, conquered by a few hundred people...and they have plans to dispose of our widows in cruel fashion by owning their lives by owning their very health...all to keep their illegal slaves happy and balance the budget. There isn't anything left to loose in leaving these self serving fascists behind.
When did “The Tea Party” officially become a U.S. political party? I missed that announcement.
God, these "follow the losing status quo template" GOP for the sake of the party label fear mongers are tiresome.
"Tiresome," heck; as pointed out in #88, they're the primary reason we're all stuck where we are right NOW! ;)
True!
I want an anti-federal government party. Goal 1: stop the growth. Goal 2: shrink it to constitutional proportions.

There are several Constitution parties. e.g. http://www.aipnews.com/index.asp and others. That said, they’ve done next to nothing electorally, although having been around in some cases for decades.
How should we pursue electoral success?
