I simply hate giving the media anything to use against Palin. Like it or not it’s reports the MSM presents who most Americans use to base their opinions; and those are who Sarah needs to get on her side.
Just my opinion, but I think you're worrying too much about how this one comment by Sarah will "play" in the media, and how that will impact the thinking of independents and moderates.
Those people have already seen the media war waged against Sarah. They've also watched her out-smart and dissect all of her detractors. They're now watching her smash records for a Number 1 Bestselling author, and are seeing the same cowardly backbiting in the liberal press and opinion sections about her. It hasn't worked, and is only showing the media for the degraded sell-outs they are.
I'm sure you saw all of the coverage of Sarah's appearance on the Oprah Winfrey show recently. That was a masterstroke of genius, because it allowed Sarah to reach millions of women (mostly on the left) who didn't have a clue of who she really is, having only absorbed the vitriolic slanders of the DNC and the MSM about her.
Don't worry. Sarah is reaching who she needs to reach, and she's doing it on her terms, and on her own turf. It's driving her enemies and detractors nuts because they have no control over her, and cannot stop her from talking directly to all of those independents and moderates you're worried about.
When Sarah says matter-of-factly that Obama's birth certificate and personal records should be fair game, she's planting that idea into the heads of many who may have never even considered it, until she said it. You can bet that a lot of those Americans in the middle are suddenly thinking, "hmmm, she's got a point there. Why doesn't Obama just show his birth certificate?"
Remember also, that when Sarah was Governor of Alaska, she had an approval rating in the high 90's at one point. That means that she made believers out of a lot of people in the middle and on the left.
Relax. She's doing fine.

Sarah has done more damage to this administration with Facebook, WSJ editorials and her Tweets and good for her.
I have no doubts Sarah didn’t think this situation through from start to finish, just as I have no doubts there will be those in the media who will use this to attack her.
Maybe this will open up the floodgates on Obama’s sealed and guarded background. We know the courts refuse to do anything so it’s left to the court of public opinion. Palin is one of a small handful of people who can sway public perception and can win in that court.

If the left have no problem suggesting that Trig is not Sarah’s son, then we have every right to investigate Obama’s true birth
Actually she did not say that she believes that he is not a citizen but merely that the question is fair game, which it surely is. We have the right to see what is on his BC. Indisputable fact: something on it is worth an awful lot of money to cover up as far as Obama is concerned.
But the timing seems a bit off and I'm not so sure she should have even sided with the birthers, even though they're 100% right.
She’s got so much upward momentum but this puts that at substantial risk.

She may think we won't last another year of Obama. She may be right. He's been holding back, I think.

This is what I was afraid of all along, that a case would be lost by incompetent prosecution and set a precedent that we wouldn’t see off easily. For anybody who can’t be bothered to follow that link, the result of that case wasn’t dismissal due to standing or jurisdiction; the judge found that 0bama was a Natural Born Citizen on the basis of shoddy evidence.
Yes, the same way the media and the white house tried to use Sarahs "death panels" against her. And what happened??? They removed the "death panels" from the bill that "never existed".
I'm sure most Americans remember that one.
Proof to the Left she is a Fringe Character? Why because she wants to see a real Birth Certificate? The People who Accuse her of being a Right wing nut because she Believes in God or wants to see a Birth Certificate are the same people who after ranting that she is this nut then run out to a Global warming rally to yell the earth is going to explode if we drive aN SUV. As for Obama’s eligibility, I am **infuriated** at these so-called “conservative” taker show yappers. I will **never** fully trust them again. That includes Rush, Beck, Hannity, OReilly, Levin, Medved, Malkin..etc. ( I hold Coulter in special contempt!)
