White House Science Officials Defend Climate Change Data Amid E-Mail Scandal

WASHINGTON -- Top White House science officials defended the validity of global warming research against repeated Republican attacks Wednesday that cited leaked e-mails from some climate researchers.

The e-mails from a British university's climate center, were obtained by computer hackers and released last month. Climate change skeptics contend the messages reveal that researchers manipulated and suppressed data and stifled dissent.

In the first Capitol Hill airing of the issue, House Republicans read excerpts from at least eight of the e-mails, saying they showed the world needs to re-examine experts' claims that the science is settled. One e-mail from 2003 was by John Holdren, then of Harvard University and now the president's science adviser.

I have yet to meet a credentialed scientist who buys off on this BS. Somehow the folks in the “consensus” group seem to have a pattern of heavy drug use in their background. It didn’t start with Gore and it won’t end with him either.

Correct. As with healthscam, as with every policy these gangsters have on their agenda, it’s about wealth redistribution, expansion of government, and curtailment of the rights and freedom of citizens.

There should be no White House scientists. Science should not be corrupted by politics. If it is, like with this climate change BS, it is not science.

Obama and his white house are crooks and liars.

I have a close relative who is a well respected retired scientist. He worked closely with one of the emailer and believed everything. He threw the scientific consensus thing at me, so I asked him "How does the consensus thing work. Does for example a geneticist's vote count as much as a climatologist's vote" He immediately wrote back and said that he forgot to say it was only weather scientists whose consensus was taken. I LOL about that one.

I sent him a email last week requesting an explanation of his co-workers involvement in the emails. Sadly, he has yet to respond.

It amazes me how because OBAMA says so is the ruling decree from the White House. This Tax and crap ponzi scheme is bigger then anything Bernie Madoff could have ever come up with.

And they're going to light the tree with "energy efficient" bulbs according to the Weather Channel. (Another green friendly channel, but nonetheless)

Apparently there is a problem, because a broadcaster's union is threatening to boycott the lighting. Ah, darn.

Hitler was so consumed with hatred for Jews, that he let his politics get in the way of Germany’s unmatched science accomplishments. He kicked all the Jewish scientists out of Germany, so none were around to help design/build the atom bomb. He discounted other possible solutions to war technology because they were led by Jews. Stoopid man.

We were informed that the ocean has undergone a 30% increase in acidity since the start of the industrial revolution and that this is the worst in the last 20,000,000 years.

CRU says the dataset gathered from meterological stations around the globe was destgroyed in 1980!

Now what data was Harry (actually Ian (Harry) Harris) working on?

It couldn’t be the base data — that was gone. Was he frustrated at having to wrestle with the “twiddled” data that Jones & Co. had given him?

And, to further confound the issue. What dataset was the base (or original) data that other climate scientists used for their evaluations. And if their results approximated what the CRU had published, after torturing the original data into screaming, how reliable is the meterological station data they worked with -— or was it all the same?

Actually its Graham and a lot of others but the thing to remember is that the scientists are little fish getting all the attention while the big fish are busy looking innocent.

I have found a consensus among my fellow computer programmers that it is possible to manipulate data to show whatever result is requested.

I've always found that the ol' "hard-coded subroutine just before you exit" ploy has ALWAYS given me the exact results that I've wanted...

I’d love to see an angry mob of 10,000 storm the capitol and drag their sorry asses out, tar and feather them, then...fill in the blank.

This administration has lost the trust of the majority of its citizens. If they sign on to this hoax in Copenhagen, whatever credibility they had left will be gone and the angst that has caused so many to deflect from the democratic party will swell the ranks of those openly opposing this administration.
