Live from New York...it's Barack Obama!
On the banks of the Hudson River at West Point, Obama will give his military strategy for Afghanistan, based on the tactical genius of Capt. Spaulding, aka Groucho Marx:
Oh dear, he is coming, At last he's here.
(Spaulding) Hello, I must be going, I cannot stay, I came to say, I must be going. I'm glad I came, but just the same I must be going. La La.
(Mrs. Rittenhouse) For my sake you must stay. If you should go away, You'd spoil this party I am throwing.
(Spaulding) I'll stay a week or two, I'll stay the summer thru, But I am telling you, I must be going.
(All) Before you go, Will you oblige us, And tell us of your deeds so glowing?
(Spaulding) I'll do anything you say, In fact I'll even stay!
(All) Good!
(Spaulding) But I must be going.
All I can say to those who voted for him... next time you get a sales pitch for Hope And Change - read the fine print!!!
I just read the speech, I didn’t watch it. Most of it was convoluted justifications for how he had to arrive at a difficult decision. He glorified his own efforts at piecing together various opinions to try to satisfy all of them.
He satisfied nothing and no one. Demoralizing, apologetic, confusingly politically based; a perfect non-committal recipe for failure. I nominate this speech as the worst presidential speech I’ve heard in my over 50 years on the planet.
The community organizer-in-chief should have done equal research on what leadership means. A leader would have the instincts to take a stand and commit to the wisest outcome for everyone. This dude is lost.
There must have been a problem with either my tv or the cable feed, all i heard was Charlie Brown`s teacher voice.
WA WA < WA WAAAH WAH WAH WA WA WA
"Bush's fault!"
Sorry, I must have picked up the subliminal message broadcast during the speech.
In the future his speech will be referred to as an "Oral Waterboarding"...
They were raised in this country during a time when we all came together to destroy a common enemy. They know Obama loathes the military.
They are The Long Gray Line.
Obama gave what amounted to a withdrawal speech at West Point. He gave a sissy speech in front of kids who have more Bravery, Honor and Love of Country than he will ever have.
Sorry I missed the ‘Live Thread’ last night. Comments are hysterical...LOL! I was thinking last night that the cadets were being subjected to Obama Torture Techniques. They were sitting there for hours before his stupid speech and then had to sit there for an hour during his speech. Talk about ‘stress positions’! Obama’s narcissism was on full throttle parade as well...MEMEMEME,IIIIIIII,MEMEMEMEME,IIIIIII. The man is a disgrace to this country.
Next you can fix anthropogenic global warming.
Excuse me
All I saw was the two big letters 'B' and 'S' and not much else. Do you think my eyes and ears going bad? I almost fell asleep as well. Yawn..
Thanks for the morning laugh, STARWISE.
I do so love our troops! :)
You misundertand. He is completely consistent. In sending more troops, he shows that he favors a nanny state not only at home but throughout the world. Democrats invented the whole idea of world policing and nation building after all.
Oh, he makes me think of a couple of movements automatically. Communist movement. Bowel movement. Asset movement. (mine)
I'm just afraid 0caligula will have our troops victoriously return with C-130s filled with sea shells.
Good one!
I read "Rescuing Sprite" a couple years ago, what a fabulous book, and yes, bring Kleenex.
Mark Levin is one of THE best conservative writers in our time. His "Men In Black" and now "Liberty And Tyranny". He's the best conservative scholar on talk radio. Rush is entertaining, Levin is education.
Please note that the Cadet is sporting a CIB - Combat Infantry Badge.
My Lola is now 14. she was 6 mos when I got her from the “doggie Orphanage”. I love her more each day, her arthritis is causing her lots of limitations, but she can still get around though the walks are now out..
thanks for your comments.
