SEATTLE -- The suspect in the fatal shooting of four officers in Parkland was not found inside a Seattle home that was surrounded by a SWAT team and numerous officers, Pierce Co. Sheriff Detective Ed Troyer said.
Maurice Clemmons, 37, was believed to be holed up in the home in the Leschi neighborhood after he was shot and wounded by one of the four slain officers before fleeing from the Parkland coffee shop where the officers were gunned down.

Huckabee failed, the AR parole board failed, the AR prosecutor(s) failed, the WA judicial system failed, etc. Huckabee wears a target that he earned, fair and square, but there are certainly others equally deserving of severe repercussions. The evidence against the perp mounted with each subsequent crime, and places further weight on the right or wrong decisions made by those in the system that were responsible for the prosecution and incarceration of this piece of trash/killer.

this guy has had 8 felony charges alone up here in Washington...infact, he was in jail child rape charges and he also punched a cop...one judge did not want him to have bail and a second judge gave him bail and he made bail....
his ankle bracelet was off and he was not being supervised....
I blame Huckabee for a lot to stuff but not for this...this murder spree was several years after that animals release...
The most recent was bail for the child rape charge. Only $150,000 of which he needed only $15,000 to be posted. That was done (by who?? Relatives??) and he was on the street again.

people in the west think NY is some kind of giant NYcity....its not...
NYS is a beautiful state with lots of farms,orchards, lakes,forests, lots of deer and bear, and some moose....it has a large Eastern Europeon ethnic heritage and most people are wonderful and great...
upstates get drowned out by the people in NY city, but that happens in other states too...like Washington state....Seattle thinks its in charge...
My wife was surprised when she found out I did as well. About the only place I don't carry is in a bar, which is against the concealed carry law anyway.
Wow. A short press conference. Just the police chief and officers addressing the group assembled. Nothing about the hunt for the perp but that they will triumph in the face of adversity. Chief having a rough time talking, the PD is only a couple of years old and these four were original officers. All assembled having a rough time, supporting each other.
Then a rep for the police guild comes out and says there is a donation link on the web site. He says that something must be done when 5% of the population commit 90% percent of the crime. Fingers the politicians for letting them out to commit more crimes.

Not heard that, but one police report was that they have evidence he was there.

The immediate blame must go to Piece County Judge Thomas J. Felnagle since he reversed the previous judge’s ruling of NO BAIL to $150,000 for Clemmons 7 days ago.
NO BAIL seems reasonable for felons charged with child rape.
I got about 4 hrs of sleep....thought this would be over for sure....

You’d think dogs are on the hunt, but I have no idea. Clemmons is one clever criminal. Apparently, they’re certain he’s bleeding from the bullet or bullets fired by the fourth officer he slaughtered, so I am personally hoping JUSTICE will be served from that very wound. May he bleed out.

I’m searching the WA papers to see if there’s a published quote or comment from that cretin judge. Thus far, I haven’t found any and I don’t expect I will.

The perp’s family could put the equity in their home up for bail easy enough. Good point and question- WHO POSTED BAIL?
On the thread last night, someone researched the bail company. It had a slick name, something like “Jail Sucks” -— and I opined that perhaps the same woman who alerted the police that he was in that house also posted his bail and that she would be eligible to claim the reward!
