WINDERMERE, Fla. -- Golfer Tiger Woods was seriously injured when he hit a fire hydrant and then a tree outside of his Isleworth home early on Friday morning, officials said.
The Florida Highway Patrol said Woods was seriously injured and taken to Health Central Hospital. The Orange County Fire Department confirmed that a patient was taken to Health Central, but would not confirm that the patient was Woods.
Woods was driving a 2009 black Escalade, FHP said. He hit a fire hydrant outside of his home and a tree outside his neighbor's home.
FHP said the crash is still under investigation.

Me, too BUT apparently, telling jokes about fans of fried chicken and collard greens is strictly verboten.

And throwing stuff. True story: One day when I was in high school band class, I threw my baritone at the band director and missed him on purpose, by a couple of inches.
It was justified. Warranted b/c he showed favor where none was due. So, yeah, I threw what was in my hands. BFD.
And then of my own accord, I casually walked to the principal’s office(where I was known already).
My friends and classmates told me that my humble instrument rocked on the floor for a good 15 minutes or so and I believe them.
But whatever....
His wife used a golf club to break the SUV rear window with a golf club to try and get him out, according to reports.
He may have been on pain meds.I doubt he was drunk.
Can you imagine the remorse the poor girl is feeling this evening.

Domestic disputes, very nasty. Hell has no fury like that of a scorned woman. Check to see if tiger still has front teeth.
If Elin had hit Tiger with a niblick (7-iron) rather than a driver, it would be ironic.

Not likely. Here in Florida they're used by the phone company and other utility companies to mark buried cables. Usually in advance of some construction nearby.
2:25 a.m.??....On a long holiday weekend....Residential zones are 25 mph....And he's ricocheting all over the neighborhood? No alcohol or drugs? That is really hard to believe.

Usually I have seen them when the property is being surveyed or sprinklers are being worked on. Bad place for a hydrant.

A friend of ours consistently cheated on his absolutely stunning movie-star quality wife. In addition, she was a terrific person. When asked why he did it, his response was, “you can’t have steak every night. Sometimes you crave a hamburger.” Go figure.
Bad place for a Hydrant is right. I’m sure Tiger paid a pretty penny for that house, and that Hydrant is just an accident waiting to happen.
Well, it isn’t waiting anymore. LOL
