WINDERMERE, Fla. -- Golfer Tiger Woods was seriously injured when he hit a fire hydrant and then a tree outside of his Isleworth home early on Friday morning, officials said.
The Florida Highway Patrol said Woods was seriously injured and taken to Health Central Hospital. The Orange County Fire Department confirmed that a patient was taken to Health Central, but would not confirm that the patient was Woods.
Woods was driving a 2009 black Escalade, FHP said. He hit a fire hydrant outside of his home and a tree outside his neighbor's home.
FHP said the crash is still under investigation.

Earlier on CNN someone from the Golf Channel speculated that maybe Tiger was going to work out or something. But a guy with that much $$$ and that big of a house surely would have his own gym wouldn't he?
He actually works out at the local gym that I belong to (Gold's) and it's open 24 hours so it's possible even though the gym did close at 2pm on Thursday.
Now maybe the steroid ignoring Woods worshippers will see that he is not the messiah as they think

Figure there is a hydrant within 350’, most likely 300 ft of one another throughout the neighborhood.
Charges might be against someone else. I don’t see how or why that might be, but we just don’t know enough at this point.
Whatever happened, I wish him and his family well and hope he recovers fully and quickly.
The Dubai project is a typical 2 section development with golf course. Priced at 1.1B, it’s probably 2-5x overpriced an appropriate fair value. Sorry, imported marble and plated fixtures just don’t cost that much extra, but the 1 engineer per 3 laborers might.

Alcohol was not a factor in the accident according to the police...but his wife chasing him with a golf club might have been.
I think they argued, and he drove away to “cool off.” Yes, I believe it has something to do with the rumor.
When they married, I said the marriage would NOT work out. It has nothing to do with the color of their skin....not at all.

I agree. I had an issue with Chevy about 8 years ago. Had a T-Bone accident, on the passenger side of the vehicular. Passenger was wearing his seatbelt yet only mine (driver) airbag deployed. Chevy sent a lame goose letter back w/ worthless info.
all i was saying in my original comment was that regardless of airbags, an impact at 30mph and a driver w/o his seatbelt on can sustain multiple injuries. i’m guessing thats what happened w/ Mr. Woods
Tiger Woods has been all about golf all his life without much of any other life...so folks give this good man a break.
