WINDERMERE, Fla. -- Golfer Tiger Woods was seriously injured when he hit a fire hydrant and then a tree outside of his Isleworth home early on Friday morning, officials said.
The Florida Highway Patrol said Woods was seriously injured and taken to Health Central Hospital. The Orange County Fire Department confirmed that a patient was taken to Health Central, but would not confirm that the patient was Woods.
Woods was driving a 2009 black Escalade, FHP said. He hit a fire hydrant outside of his home and a tree outside his neighbor's home.
FHP said the crash is still under investigation.

Is Rachel Uchitel Having an Affair With Tiger Woods?

As news of the minor car accident involving Tiger Woods races around the Internet, people are beginning to ask questions about Rachel Uchitel. The leggy beauty — who has previously claimed she had an affair with actor David Boreanaz — is now being linked to Tiger Woods.
Nothing has even come close to being proven. But several websites have reported that Uchitel, who works in club promotions. This was followed up by allegations of something shady between the two in the pages of the National Enquirer.
We have no idea whether the rumors are true. The Enquirer gets it wrong a lot, but they’ve outed several major figures for peccadilloes in the past, including former presidential candidate John Edwards. Keep an eye on this one, we’d say.

Usually these guys don’t put their own money in projects. They get paid for designing it and having it named after them.
Things have changed a lot. The old fashioned entrepreneur is a dying breed. Today it’s all about OPM (other people’s money) and has been so since the 1980’s and the junk bond era. Even Hollywood Studios finance films with outside investors which is how the producers got so darn filthy rich. They never lose because they never put their own money in. They get paid if they lose and get paid more if they win.
Not sure what Tiger’s finances are, but he’s still young and could probably earn another $500 million before he’s done - provided he doesn’t screw it up by destroying his image/reputation. Sure if he lost a bundle that might explain his erratic behavior but I would find it hard to believe in the post Madoff era if he wasn’t well diversified. When you have $1 billion all you have to do is preserve your wealth, not risk it. Bonds, income real estate and insurance.
Was Rachel the cause of the accident?
Steroids? I can’t see why one gets arrested for steroids in the car. Steroids would be a legitimate prescription after his knee surgery.

I agree with you. Seems like it was a domestic dispute and he was angrily backing out of the driveway as she beat the car with a golf club.
If he *backed* into the fire hydrant, why did she need to break out the back window? Surely one of the 2 front doors would have been operable. Or one of the 2 back doors for that matter. What did she do, haul him over the glass?

I appreciate your thoughtful and reasoned responses to the envious, obsessed jerks on this thread who attack Tiger. Yes, he is human, and not perfect, but he is one of the more admirable individuals in current day sports. I pray he is OK, and that his family is also OK. As a life long Conservative, I find overall Tiger someone to be used as a role model, not torn down.
