Tiger Woods Injured In Crash Outside Home (Update: treated and released, alcohol not involved)

WINDERMERE, Fla. -- Golfer Tiger Woods was seriously injured when he hit a fire hydrant and then a tree outside of his Isleworth home early on Friday morning, officials said.
The Florida Highway Patrol said Woods was seriously injured and taken to Health Central Hospital. The Orange County Fire Department confirmed that a patient was taken to Health Central, but would not confirm that the patient was Woods.
Woods was driving a 2009 black Escalade, FHP said. He hit a fire hydrant outside of his home and a tree outside his neighbor's home.
FHP said the crash is still under investigation.

Really bad place for a fire hydrant. Way too close to the driveway.
He probably was pissed off and backed out real fast and forgot about that hydrant. Probably got airborne and hit the tree.

Fox News says the celebrity website TMZ is reporting that Tiger and his wife had an argument prior to the accident.
Earlier on CNN someone from the Golf Channel speculated that maybe Tiger was going to work out or something. But a guy with that much $$$ and that big of a house surely would have his own gym wouldn't he?

Methinks the window was broken by Mrs. Woods prior to the accident. The Windermere police are covering up for both of them.

"At first, I took it to mean that Tiger's wife was assaulting him with a golf club! " I wouldn't be too surprised if that turns out to closer to the truth than the reported story. TMZ is reporting that they were arguing before the crash.

So many sports guys get mixed up in alcohol and drugs, so it’s actually noteworthy that this story didn’t involve that.
