WINDERMERE, Fla. -- Golfer Tiger Woods was seriously injured when he hit a fire hydrant and then a tree outside of his Isleworth home early on Friday morning, officials said.
The Florida Highway Patrol said Woods was seriously injured and taken to Health Central Hospital. The Orange County Fire Department confirmed that a patient was taken to Health Central, but would not confirm that the patient was Woods.
Woods was driving a 2009 black Escalade, FHP said. He hit a fire hydrant outside of his home and a tree outside his neighbor's home.
FHP said the crash is still under investigation.
Update: Authorities: Tiger Woods hurt in Fla. car crash
or a differential
LOL.
Well said Dixie, and thank you. I’ve been shaking my head in disbelief as I read this thread. I know I’m naive, but I thought WE were made of better stuff than some of the comments I’ve read here would indicate.
Whatever precipitated this.... accident, my prayers for a speedy recovery are sent to Tiger Woods, and his wife and young children are in my thoughts and prayers as well.

Or to Mister Ed
You are far too kind.
They waited a couple of hours and tested her
He didn't hit the hydrant and the tree head on, he backed into them.
His head probably bounced off the headrest and into the Steering Wheel when the Escalade hit the tree and stopped.
****And Camilla couldnt hold a candle to Diana,IMHO.
Or to Mister Ed****
C’mon now, Camilla’s face is at least as long as Mister Ed’s.
Poor guy’s living in abject poverty.
Who knows? It's been reported on those gossip shows like Extra and on TMZ. I suspect the celebrity's agents often leak the info to them to get it out to the public and potential employers.
It was a big buck that split into three pieces upon impact.
The locals had it cleaned up before the Highway Patrol got there.
Tiger had a chance to take the high ground and accept Fuzzy’s apology. Instead, he showed his true character. I’ve had no respect for him since then.
But I understand you wanting to stand up for Obama’s buddy http://sports.espn.go.com/golf/news/story?id=3695226 who participated in Barak’s coronation ceremonies. http://maggiesnotebook.blogspot.com/2009/07/tiger-woods-obama-inaugural-video.html
You get that show? (’the office’)
I am a fan of satire and irony....and I try and try...but don’t get this show....what is good about it...I really need to know...
the wit is so dry as to be incomprehensible...
maybe it is because it is about offices...I worked in one and loathed it...btw...I don’t get Dilbert either.....
I agree totally.
What is so dam humorous about a bunch of people so obviously miserable? The snide and sarcasm on that show are disgusting.
Not funny, not in my book...
I get it now, but it was rather hard to understand your meaning before.
I have never seen any of those other pictures.
There are a very few trashaholics on this site that just love to tear things down just for the hell of it.
Tiger has done more "good stuff" in his short stay on this earth than all these slanderers combined.
From where the fire hydrant is located on that video, it seems odd he’d still be in reverse at that point. Maybe I’m not seeing it correctly. Anyway, sounds like maybe his injuries weren’t as bad as first reported. That’s good.
I saw him play in person last year, and he was all muscle. Steroids may be one reason.
The accident, maybe a toke or two, added to a turkey birdover, and bounce-goes-the-tiger.
Can't tell you how many times I've missed a mail box...
“You get that show? (the office)”
Yes, I do get it - my wife and I think it’s hilarious...I guess it’s the awkwardness of Steve Carell...or just what a boob Dwight is - I don’t know for sure, but we do think it’s funny.
Last season, not so much....
