Climategate e-mails sweep America, may scuttle Barack Obama's Cap and Trade laws
Telegraph Uk ^ | November 26th, 2009 | Gerald Warner

Posted on 11/26/2009 7:00:28 PM PST by opentalk

Just a few considerations in addition to previous remarks about the explosion of the East Anglia Climategate e-mails in America. The reaction is growing exponentially there. Fox News, Barack Obama’s Nemesis, is now on the case, trampling all over Al Gore’s organic vegetable patch and breaking the White House windows. It has extracted some of the juiciest quotes from the e-mails and displayed them on-screen, with commentaries. Joe Public, coast-to-coast, now knows, thanks to the clowns at East Anglia’s CRU, just how royally he has been screwed.

Senator James Inhofe’s Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works has written to all the relevant US Government agencies, acquainting them with the nature of the e-mails. But the real car crash for Obama is on Capitol Hill where it is now confidently believed his Cap and Trade climate legislation is toast. It was always problematic; but with a growing awakening to the scale of the scientific imposture sweeping the world, as far as the Antipodes, the clever money is on Cap and Trade laws failing to pass, with many legislators sceptical and the mid-term elections looming ever closer.

At the more domestic level, the proposed ban on incandescent light bulbs, so supinely accepted in this servile state of Britain, is now provoking a huge backlash in America. US citizens do not like the government coming into their houses and putting their lights out. Voters may not understand the cut and thrust of climate debate at the technical level, but they know when the Man from Washington has crossed their threshold uninvited.

The term that Fox News is now applying to the Climategate e-mails is “game-changer”. For the first time, Anthropogenic Global Warming cranks are on the defensive, losing their cool and uttering desperate

I don't give a hoot in Hell about Algore being an ex-veep or a Nobel Attaboy recipient - I want to see a warrant issued on multiple charges of felony fraud, threatening national security, subversion, and even crimes against humanity, if applicable, and I want to see his bloated, scheming, bloviating ass thrown in front of a federal judge to answer those charges.

Then I want to see his bloated, scheming, bloviating ass thrown into a facility which cuts him off from the rest of civil society for the rest of his natural life.

I hope you are right. The unfortunately thing is that any legitimate reduction in pollution , can not be addressed because of the political agenda that ruined any discussion. This is not a redistribution of wealth issue.

They knew about and they are stupid.... so both. Seriously there needs to be a full accounting the American taxpayer was about to be snookered in what is turing out to be the biggest hoax and ponzi scheme of the Century.

What I find truly amazing is that Obama has so effectively muzzled the American Media regarding this issue. I am sure they are all beside themselves looking for ways to defend it but when we have to go outside of the USA to get the Truth it only means that the media has destroyed their sacred trust given them in the first ammendment and for what? Some idiot president that they think is Cool? Give me a break, Obama should be impeached over this.

“Further down the line there may be, in many countries, a question of criminal prosecution of anybody who has falsified data to secure funds and impose potentially disastrous fiscal restraints on the world in deference to a massive hoax.”

Considering that the Brobdingnagian scale, of this global criminal conspiracy, reduces the likes of Bernie Madoff to Lilliputian proportions; criminal prosecutions are most certainly in order.

They will continue to push the lie as long as the LSM doesn’t report it. And so far, it appears that they are playing the three monkeys about Climate Gate.

It won't be over until they lose their heads. It should happen sooner than later so we can bury this pathetic chapter in instanity as history.

I always called the Kyoto Treaty the “send-your-factory-to-China treaty”.

I began to doubt man made GW after reading about the vikings in Greenland too. But what really set me off was a visit to New Zealand. We wanted to see the Fox Glacier, and as we went up the dirt road to the base of the glacier there was a sign. [In 1750 the Fox Glacier was Here]. In about 1/4 miles that said [in 1850 the Fox Glacier was here]. We trudged up about another 1/4 mile and there was the Fox Glacier.

On our way back down I got to wondering what caused the Fox Glacier to melt from 1750 to 1850 and beyond? It certainly wasn't my SUV. Could it be ........ THE SUN?????

I'll feel a lot better when Bernie Madoff gets a new roommate. If Gore's "Crap and Trade" isn't the ultimate Ponzi scheme, I don't know what is.

It is the latter. John Holdren, Obama’s “Science Czar” was directly involved and received emails from the hoaxers.

Count me in for that, from day one!

And to tell you the truth, I am not happy that GWB signed that piece of doo-doo legislation into law.

Al Gore betrayed this country, he played on our fears!!!

Soooo good! What Gore accused Bush of he is guilty instead. It's the liberal way--hyrocrites.

Either the government is too stupid and it was about to make laws based on faulty data, or they knew about it and are complicit. Which is it?

There was enough evidence and reputable weather scientists who are on record saying it was all BS BUT they couldn't get a hearing and were NEVER covered by the MSM

That is THE REAL SCANDAL and should be coverd by FOX etc

We all know what it was - collusion!

The question is what will they 'really' ramp up to scare the money out of everyone's pants?

They are back to the fiscal drawing board again.
