"WHEREAS it is the duty of all nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey His will, to be grateful for His benefits, and humbly to implore...."

I looked at the title and started reading in amazement, then I realized, oh, you meant a REAL President.

My feet made skid marks under my desk like a cartoon character trying to stop running. I was headed into this thread to say “Bite Me.” Whoops.

I agree: G-d Bless America, which may well mean getting rid of the current government. It’s hurt us this year something fierce.

Too bad Obama didn't have the balls to surprise the Troopers in A-stan. The Troopers would have really liked that. Oh well, we all know that Obama is a wuss.

That would have been unprecedented.

Except for the time President Bush visited the troops in Afghanistan.

Wow, what a pathetic and thoroughly politicized set of Thanksgiving remarks. He even managed to blame Bush in his Thanksgiving message: "But we cannot rest...until we have moved beyond the cycles of boom and bust – of reckless risk and speculation – that led us to so much crisis and pain these past few years."

Screw him.

“But we cannot rest...until we have moved beyond the cycles of boom and bust – of reckless risk and speculation – that led us to so much crisis and pain these past few years.”

I'm thinking Obama’s best buds, Robbie Rubin of Citi Group, Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, Franklin Raine and Rahm Emanuel (who was a director at Freddie Mac) are some of the crooks Obama is talking about. : ) Happy Thanksgiving!

Excellent post.

It’s 45 degrees and clear as a bell down here in the valley today. The family and friends will be gathering in a few hours to honor our history and good fortune in being blessed to have been born in this republic.

Thanks, and have a great Thanksgiving holiday, Jeff.

A man lead by God and not an ivy league intellectual.

Why diminish this great speech with anti-intellectual rhetoric?

Ahhh...words from a real president, not the fake president.

I doubt if HE gave thanks for anything today.

Do Muslims celebrate a similar day of thanks to their Creator?

I watched ‘1776’ again last night for the tenth time. I FF through the songs because it’s a really long movie, but the DIALOG is so well written and funny and important.

I’ll admit I literally SOBBED when they all stepped up to sign The Declaration of Independence at the end.

What BRAVE men! What wonderful, PATRIOTS. We owe them so very, very much.

We have SUCH a bunch of losers and traitors in Congress right now, it turns my stomach.

But - our Nation will only be pushed so far. Patriots will show up when needed. At least that’s what I keep telling myself...

Thanks for doing this. I knew in the first three words it was not the usurper marxist false messiah.

Can’t believe that SOB said that during a Thanksgiving speech.

He turns Thanksgiving into a Health care diatribe.

What a scumbag. He has no clue what Thanksgiving is.

He would never mix health care policy with Ramadan. But for Thanksgiving, no problem.

George Washington would spit in his face if he were alive.
