"I wish there was more linotype around here. Gas checks have gotten godawfull expensive too."

...for revolvers? Here are some suggestions that you may already know about, or they might be of some interest.

Have a look at Lyman #2. It's 15 Brinell before hardening and should store well (even mix of tin and antimony). As for gas checks, see the following.

Also consider making slightly oversized diameter bullets and a bore lap kit...great for reducing leading. And...

Wow, going from leaving a house if a gun were inside to buying a Saiga 12?

Man, that some bigtime change!

I would, but I lost all of mine while I was testing Rosie O’donnells rant about fire melting steel for the first time in history.

Lotta fairly cheap dry foods out there. Rice, pasta, egg noodles, beans. Just buy in bulk.

Very good advice. It's the foods we all eat everyday and they are much more economical than MRE's and specialty dehydrated foods.

However, there is a pitfall. We learned (the hard way) that some foods come complete with weevil larvae.

Now we put all pasta, flour, noodles, rice and other dry foods in the freezer for at least a few days as soon as we bring them home. It kills the larve and is essentially free unless you don't have a freezer.

We even freeze all dehydrated and dry mixes such as soup, gravy and spices along with mac & cheese, stuffing, cake mixes, bread, tortillas, etc. They can all harbor eggs and larvae. If we don't need the space we leave them in the freezer until we do.

Larvae can even survive vacuum packing but freezing klls them off.

We keep the new items seperate from those already freezer processed to prevent possible cross contamination
.

Funny how these gGn control Nanny-Staters are never overly concerned about the tens of thousands, neigh, hundreds of thousands of guns in the hands of CRIMINALS every d@mn day.

Who do they think the criminals will victimize? Those with guns, or those without?

Yeesh. What morons. The don’t see their own heads on the chopping block.

A little extra protein.

Dont use it for self defense though..unless you shoot for the head, if the goblin is wearing a leather jacket hes liable to turn your scattergun into a giant suppository for you..if you get my meaning.

Muzzle velocity of 3" .410 000 buck (5 pellets) is around 1135 fps. Each of these weighs 70 grains, and is .36" in diameter.

That will not have the perp getting anywhere near your shotgun if you get the pattern centered on him, leather jacket or not.

Slugs are also "interesting"

Remington 87.5 (1/5 oz) grain .410 Slugs Velocity & Energy Muzzle: 1,830 fps & 650 ft./lbs. 50 yards: 1,335 fps & 345 ft./lbs. 100 yards: 1,040 fps & 210 ft./lbs. That's faster than most pistol bullets, and the slug *will* penetrate and expand.

There is also a 1/4 oz (109 grain) slug , with muzzle velocity of 781 fps

“Is he still a liberal? Or has he seen the light?”

He’s learning the facts of life, let us say. This past week he was ranting about obama’s health care plan and how scary it is..but the dummy still blames it on Dubya..

“Wow, going from leaving a house if a gun were inside to buying a Saiga 12?
Man, that some bigtime change!”

His logic is, he’ll shoot if he has to, but somehow he feels like pointing a shotgun that looks like an AK-47 at a goblin will make them reconsider their negative attitude.

Personally, I think he’s deluding himself, but at least he knows to keep the gun loaded, chamber empty.

He wasnt even upset when I stopped by his house with my walther P-99 under my jacket...I’m counting that as progress of a sort.

there is also a 410 ga. saiga scattergun, I just discovered. If they made say...a 10 or 12 round mag for it, it might have some merit.
